Q: Is this lamp a polish/shiny gold or is it brushed gold. Some pictures it looks polished and others it looks brushed.

A: Hi - the lamp has a brass finish base. When you have the bulb on and you are using a warm color temperature bulb, the brass will take on a shiny gold color tone. The finish itself has a slight brushed look to it, it is not a full polished finish. Hope that helps, it's a lovely design and offers a great visual look. Thank you for the questions.

Very nice lamp, it was a little short for the space so I got extenders that help although the top piece on the shade doesn't tighten well with the extenders.
