  • A: By design the Sport Knit Pants offer a generous fit. Garment elastic waist for the 2X (20W - 22W) relaxed is 38" and 54" extended. Hip 53 1/2" and inseam is 29 1/2". For the 3X elastic waist r the 3X (24W - 26W) is 42" relaxed and 58" extended. Hip is 57 1/2. Inseam is 29 1/2".

    Elastic waist easy to pull on with arthritis.

    I have had for several years sport knit capris and mid calf pants, then recently bought this long pair of sport knit pants. They have a generous fit, with deep pockets, and are long enough for my 5’7” height. Fabric is soft and wrinkle-free and come in a variety of nice colors. What I especially love is the waist elastic is soft/loose enough to pull up easily with my painful arthritic shoulders. Wished I would have tried these a long time ago to use in winter. My older shorter pants still fit even though I’ve put on some more weight.

    Going by the size chart these pants should have fir perfectly. They were HUGE. Very disappointed they didn’t fit and disappointed to have to pay to return them.

    Awesome quality

    I have purchased these pants probably 3 times over the course of several years and I will have to say it was easy and the quality is awesome. The hand and feel is excellent and seems to be superior than previous purchases, although I had no negative opinion with those purchases, it's just more elegant, yet still able to wear every day and feel great about the pants I'm wearing.

    Pay Attention to Size Warnings

    These pants are much looser in the waist and behind than expected. The waist is very high. I selected a 1X having read the other reviews but most likely could have gone down yet another size. Very unpredictable sizing. They were not inexpensive so they are a disappointment.

    Not up to usual standard - disappointing

    Over the years I've bought many pairs of Sport Knit Straight Leg Trousers; they're my everyday wear and are so comfortable. Both these pairs, however, were too long and the waistband elastic felt slack. I returned them.

    Pants run large!

    Sizing is not consistent. The tags on the different colors I ordered say they were made in different countries. The pair made in one country was too big, the ones made in the other country were absolutely huge!

    Love these trousers

    A HUGE disappointment

    I have been a Lands End customer for about 40 years. Over that time, the worst thing I have experienced is fit…because I am a pear shape and many of the button up shirts, coats and dresses just weren’t cut for me. However, of late I have found the quality of the material is not what it used to be. Guess that is a form of shrinkflation. But, these pants are a whole other level of disappointing quality. I bought a size that should have been, and in fact I expected to be, maybe a little snug. Well - not.at.all. They are clownishly big. I’m not sure going down a size would help because the fabric is so poor they would never hang right. I gave 2 stars because the quality of construction is fine and the color is accurate. Otherwise, I would have given no stars,

    Material not as good as other colour.

    I purchased this navy pair at the same time I ordered a black pair, but the navy pair were made of a poorer quality material and were very oversized compared to the black pair, so I am returning the navy pair. I have a pair in denim, which you no longer supply, such a shame as these have been a great fit and wash well.
