    Subtle changes

    I’ve had 3 pairs for maybe 3 years. Very happy. When I reordered just now the pockets and lining were no longer blue and white stripe. Comfort waist has less give. Zipper in fly changed from YKK, with smooth action and generous pull tab. Now named “Ideal”, but it really isn’t. Hard to slide and difficult to hold. But the pockets are generous, the fabric is a nice as ever, and the finish is good.

    Shallow Pockets

    These shorts are comfortable and look good, but the front pockets are much less deep than other Lands' End pants and shorts I have. That's a problem because I keep my phone and wallet in my front pockets, and with these they don't feel secure. As an online retailer, you need to be more concerned with consistency across your product line.

    Comfort First Shorts Sizing

    I've been wearing the Comfort First Waist Knockabout Chino Shorts for years. I ordered a 35 waist, the garment measures 34. There is supposed to be a 2" stretch. Because the waist is smaller the pockets don't fit right when it stretches.

    Look mom, they shrunk the shorts

    I bought these because they were a new color of shorts I’ve bought before. It seems they’ve shrunk the size, particularly the waist. I was disappointed that the size and material were not consistent from the last time.

    A seriously tight 33 waist and overall

    Way too tight in the crotch and thighs even at a size (33) that is comfortable or large on me. Has LE decided that every male customer is 30 years old? Does it perhaps need to launch a boomer section? It's getting harder to find items that fit lately, and not just because of my pandemic paunch.

    Wear shorts 12 months a year, and these are my go to short. Repeat purchaser. Have 9 pair in 4 colors. Very comfortable waistband. Nice fabric. Wear them everywhere.

    Comfortable, stylish shorts

    I bought these for my 96-y-o father for Father's Day. He wanted a looser pair. Done (Thanks for the speedy send-out, LE.). He finds them very comfortable and can also use them for dressier wear. They wash well, too.
