Q: kid dropped glitter on floor and now its all over house, leather sofa etc, tried vaccum cloth soap. doesn't come out. I'm wondering if it needs to settle first, caue it's in air. What if I leave it?

A: Hello! Try using a lint roller for hard surfaces and a soft brush for fabric. A damp cloth can also help gather airborne glitter.

Most of the slimes were hard and couldn’t be played with . I had to through at least half of them in the garbage . I am not sure if I got a bad box but so disappointed my grandchildren love playing with slime and were sad when I had to throw most of it away

Airborn glitter
I didn’t witness the first time my daughter had spilled the shimmer glitter on her desk. But, when I was carefully cleaning her desk later, that’s tilting a notebook that was covered in glitter in a trash bin, the whole glitter went airborne instead of going to the bin… it was airborne for 15 minutes. I went away and tested away… eventually cleaned up with a mask, vacuuming and wet mopping… had house cleaners later that day too. But, I swapped my own nostrils with tissue and the glitters were in there too. My daughter is 10. And I am much older (!) and had sealed with glitter a lot…these are so dangerous and are not for kids! I don’t know how much of it my daughter had inhaled. These stuff are super sticky at the same time so small and tiny… these are so dangerous. We had hot this as a gift.

OH MY SHIMMER
This slime kit has been awesome but the shimmer...oh the shimmer. Our daughter opened the package, it exploded all over her (the room had a ceiling fan btw) and she walked over to my husband looking like a little sparkling tin woman. Then we both realized very quickly, the ENTIRE house was saturated in glitter dust, and the air was filled with tiny flecks of shimmer. It even went in rooms that doors were shut at. We've had to toss furniture. Toys. Decor. This stuff will not come off no matter what we do. Absolute chaos. I've never been so devastated by something so seemingly harmless. every surface in our home is dusted in shimmer. Slime, good. Shimmer. Bad. #Glittergeddon#glitterpocalypse#glittergate2025.

Rubber disaster
18 out of 27 slimes are overactivated to the point of being rubber, and the ones that aren't completely rubber are still overactivated and don't respond to any means of softening, so also completely unusable.

Worth It If The Price Is Right
We got this for half off so it was worth the price.. It was fun to unbox and came with a lot of stuff. The disappointing parts were that 2 of the slimes had some hardening and they were all the same texture. I still think it was worth what we paid.

A few cons but fun
Love this! Kids got it for Christmas. There are two things I wish I knew. Definitely throw away the shimmer, it’s not the standard type glitter- it’s tiny shimmer and we were breathing it in, coughing. It floats in the air. Not good! Also the snow should be thrown away in my opinion. It makes the slime seize up, instantly dries it up and doesn’t stretch. We had to throw away four of them because of the snow but there are a ton more so it’s worth it.

GLITTER SHIMMER CHAOS
Do not buy this unless you want glitter/shimmer ALL over your house and in the air. This product is HORRIBLE. It’s all over my counters, chairs, the WALLS, my plants, dishes inside of CLOSED cabinets. It’s so scary. I had to throw away the tablecloth. It’s literally EVERYWHERE. Even in the rooms we don’t use it in. You’re definitely breathing this into your lungs and eating it. It was all over our clothes are hair. 2 showers didn’t even get it all out. This is extremely concerning.

This set is awesome and has so much slime! I like that the slime is ready to mix and doesn’t have to be made first. The texture is perfect in my opinion, not too sticky or runny. Just let it warm up in your hand for about 30 seconds and it will ooze like it did in my photo. My 2 7-year-olds each received a set for Christmas and are having so much fun mixing up their own slimes. They love the mix-ins and scents. There are plenty of containers to store their creations. They keep saying “this was such a great gift!”

STAINS COUNTERTOPS
DO NOT BUY!!!! Whatever dye is in the red and pink slimes stained my quartz countertops pink after 2 minutes. Luckily, I was able to get it out with a baking soda paste and an hour and a half of my time. More concerning is what it’s doing to your child’s skin if it’s able to soak into quartz that fast.
