  • A: Recently, the state of California added a new chemical to its Prop 65 list of chemicals that requires a warning to consumers that there could be exposure from this product. This chemical, Bisphenol-S (pronounced: bis ·fuh · naal) aids in the colorfastness of synthetic fabrics with a nylon/spandex blend and can also help with the tanning process of some leathers. Some swim contain very low levels of this chemical but enough to show up in testing.

    Perfect Sports Shorts

    These shorts may be the best product I have purchased from Lands End in years. The longer length is practical without being matronly. The fit is perfect. The shorts and the built-in panty are lightweight, comfortable and durable. The pockets are deep enough for a large phone. It would be nice if Lands End added a small zipper pocket for keys, but otherwise, these are the perfect sports shorts.

    why did the sizing change?

    I have worn the same size in these swim shorts for a while now. This year I still fit in the ones I have but that same size in my new ones is much smaller.SAME SIZE, DIFFERENT YEAR, NEWER ONES MUCH SMALLER. The waist of the new ones is 3 inches smaller than the same size bought last year. I reordered a size up. The bigger size this year is the same measurements as the smaller size I bought last year .

    Swim shorts

    I think I found the perfect shorts. They are long enough to cover my 60yrs young frame and stylish enough to wear out and about. The only thing is the fabric sounds light a heavy duty raincoat. They sound like a pair of snowpants I wore as a kid. Will it softnen the more I wash them. Or should I throw them in the dryer? The loud sound is the only thing that gives away the fact they are swim shorts.I'll keep wearing them. The length is great and so is the cut.

    Smaller size 10

    I have several pairs of this swimsuit but am disappointed the same size (10) fits a bit snugly in this suit. It also fits a bit lower on the waist. Other than that it is a nice suit

    Loved the look , feel and fit of these shorts. Probably would not include the panties with it the next time. The pattern is just what I like. I am between a size 8 or 10. I ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly

    Great 7" + 9" Swim Shorts

    These swim shorts are absolutely my favorite & a huge Thank You to Lands' End for finally making them in bright, happy colors! And I own just about every color! I wear these for swimming AND miles & miles on the trails hiking. I wash them on "delicate" just to keep them looking new but some of them have been thru my regular wash loads several times & still look & fit awesome. Comfortable!

    AWFUL!

    I bought this item because I liked the way they looked on the model in the photo. They looked as if they fit exactly they way I wanted them to: close to the th'reigh so they don't balloon out in the water and look like a swim skirt. They look NOTHING like they do in the photo! They are AWFUL! From the fit to the fabric they are horrible. The fit is larger than the size. The legs are so full they will balloon out when in the water. They do not fit close to the thighs at all. They're like wide cut shorts and the fabric is stiff and feels cheap and like something that would be used to line a raincoat or something. So very disappointed and am sending them back.

    So so

    I prefer the capri length swim bottoms, but you do not seem to offer them now. These are too baggy in the legs, I do water aerobics and these swim bottoms were just annoying. And I don't need the pockets!
