Monster Bass!
I was skeptical about the size only being two 8" speakers, but these things pound. I have two of them installed (one on each side of the TV) and will warn you that you better brace your walls. My wife made me get rid of my 30 year old M&K because she didn't want the "coffee table", and I must say this has been such an upgrade! I have them paired with the Monolith 600W amp and overall it is FAR more than I need. Probably not the bass extension of a Velodyne, but enough to rattle the walls in the whole house.

Awful
I bought and installed 3 of these units and they are terrible because they don't have backbox / baffle design. I recommend you stay away from these and get something with a backbox otherwise everything will rattle and you will hear virtually no bass.

Not the best design.
Im sure it would sound great if this was designed in sealed enclosure. In my brand new house with sheetrock screwed and glued to the wall, it caused so much rattle and vibration they had to be removed. This was at nearly any level of sound. Build quality was great, was happy with everything until we realized the amount of pressure it was building in the walls.

Excellent Sound
Replaced 2-12 inch down firing Klipsch with 1 of these installed in ceiling. No they do not play as deep as both Klipsch but the sound is far improved. I powered them with the swa-400 amp wired at 8ohms it is a fairly good match. They come prewired to 2ohms with jumpers, they are 4ohm SVC 150watt RMS each. Each sub has it's own terminals and jumpers can be removed to wire to 8 ohms if needed. They produce excellent sound and very tight accurate bass. I imaging had I purchased 2 of these they would put the Klipsch to shame. The SPL is very impressive from 8" subs I'm not past the break in period yet so I haven't pushed them just yet, I know from my other one they have amazing ability. I installed the single sub version on my patio and have been so impressed decided to give the dual a run inside. The monolith product line is incredible for the cost, I just ordered the FRC 3 way and the 2 way to replace my current 7.1 in ceiling set up. Wife approved aesthetics
