Q: Are these 100% biodegradable?

A: Thanks for your interest in our Lemon Zest Multi-Surface Cleaning Wipes. These wipes are not biodegradable. They are made of rayon and polyester and will not biodegrade. They are not flushable nor should they be composted. Most wipes are disposed of via regular trash in a landfill. No disinfectant or cleaning wipe can authentically claim the wipe is biodegradable because even biodegradable wipes do not biodegrade if they are disposed of in a landfill. Because used wipes are disposed of in landfills, making biodegradation claims are false and misleading. Seventh Generation prioritizes chlorine-free whitening processes over biodegradability in wipes for this reason. We hope that someday the conditions of land filling will be conducive to biodegradation or that someone will develop a material that biodegrades under current landfill conditions. Until such time we will not make biodegradable claims on our wipes. We hope this helps!

For a disinfectant option, you can try Seventh Generation Disinfecting Cleaners that clean and disinfect in one easy step (when following the disinfecting instructions on the label) and kill 99.9% of household germs botanically on hard, nonporous surfaces. Sttong smell and oily streak
I got these wipes to the place Lysol trying to avoid. I have a machine that cleans the floors, but I need a quick sweep wipe at the times. These wives are leaving, oily residue or streaks. The lemon smell seems very overwhelming. Are you even using it in my car and started to burn my eyes I will stick to baby wipes for a quick sweep while I have machine for floors.

Clean ingredients and easy to use
I love these wipes. I keep a tub in each bathroom of my house. Whenever I see that my counters are a little grimy, I give a quick wipe down and they are good as new. I also like to use them to wipe the outside of my toilets. They are super and convenient. I love that they have clean ingredients and scent. I’m the type of person that gets headaches from artificial smells. I never had an issue with these wipes. I definitely recommend!

Lemon Zest Attracts Bees
Miss the orange scent. The lemon zest attracts bees. I use them in my car (in addition to in home).When I used them to wipe car interior, bees kept flying in. That never happened with the orange scent.

Good for spot cleaning
These are handy for quickly wiping up small spills or removing greasy fingerprints from things. I wouldn't use them to clean glass or mirrors as they seem like they'd leave a bit of a film but they work great for quick clean ups. I also like that they're not disinfectant wipes, while I think disinfecting to a degree is beneficial I don't think it's great for the immune system to over sanitize so it's nice to have an alternative to the many disinfecting wipes out there.

I bought them thinking they disinfect, it's a shame I didn't research or read before, I don't understand the purpose if they're just for smearing dirt around and don't disinfect. They smell great but I don't get the point of these wipes.

I was trying to find something a little cleaner since I use wipes on my counters a lot but these left such awful streaks i couldn’t believe it. The smell is a little odd as well.
