My Fault - (Culpable) by Mercedes Ron (Paperback)

I couldn't put this down! If you love the 'enemies-to-lovers' and 'forbidden romance' tropes, this is a must-read. Noah and Nick’s chemistry is electric from page one. It’s definitely a rollercoaster of emotions and high-stakes drama, but that’s exactly what makes it so addictive. Perfect for fans of the movie who want all the extra internal dialogue and details.

‘Our lives hadn’t been easy, and that was why we understood each other so well.’ Nicholas Leister (age 21) is rich, intelligent, strong and wild. Noah Morgan (age 17) just got her life turned upside down as she must move in with a new stepfather and stepbrother. Nick had a lot of different faces and I loved watching him fall in love. Noah was difficult to like since she kept going back and forth. I wish she would have communicated with Nick more. Felt the angst was too long and got boring after a while. Very slow burn with few intimate scenes. I do like that Nick is her first. I wanted to read the book after watching the Spanish movie. I felt like I needed more of the story. Since this is a translated version I’m not sure if the translation didn’t justice since I couldn’t really connect with all the emotions with the words.

This is a very good book! The entire Culpable series is great! Iv’e read some people’s reviews on other platforms that are put off by the fact that when Nick and Noah first start their relationship he is 21 and she is 17 but come on any sane person put in their shoes would make the exact same choice they did. Are you going to turn your back on true love just because you won’t turn 18 for the next 10ish months?! If you say yes then in my opinion you have no heart.
