TYTUS 5-Burner Fresno Island 60000 BTU Gas Grill TDT-021-0101 Gunmetal

I have had the grill for just about a year with a cover. The grill is starting to show some signs of rust already. I knew running it on natural gas would knock down the temperature but I am finding it more than I thought. Except the side burner, which cannot tone down. Also I wish it was easier to clean. Cleaning the drip tray is difficult. It would be great if it was removable. The good points are service, the look, and setup is a breeze.

We have only had this grill for one season (entering our second), and are impressed. It's sturdy and feels like a much more expensive island. We bought the cover due to bird-bombing (blech), and it has not faded. There is plenty of grill space for a griddle, which we will add this year. What I like the most about it is the storage. I don't have to schlep out all the utensils, and I keep smoker chips completely dry in the cabinet door area. Great buy!

First cover developed rips at all four corners of the main surface within the first year. Tried reinforcing with heavy gorilla tape etc. but that turns into a gooey mess in the sun. Ordered replacement cover and noted fabric was a different type so I had high hopes. I also tried adding some adhesive backed corner protectors. Rips developed even quicker than the original cover. Rubber Corner protectors don't help much as they make to harder to take the cover on and off and fall off themselves. I wish Tytus would add some thick cowhide patches on the inside corners to reinforce them.

I have had my grill for 3 years now, the grill itself works nicely, good features and seems to be pretty durable thus far. The grill itself is okay, cooks a little unevenly from the front to back especially so always need to keep an eye on everything you are cooking. Easy to clean though, the only thing I would not buy again is the Tytus cover. That barely lasted a year without tearing, fading and especially leaking. The price for the grill is a little high in my opinion but the cover is a waste of money. Bought a cheaper one online which has worked much better and lasted longer for a fraction of the price.

This grill looks great and assembled with normal effort. Temperature controls are more like hot and hotter and can’t really cook on low heat unless using fewer burners for indirect heat. Would be nicer if low heat on the control reduced heat better. The cover did not last long. Admittedly it is in AZ sun everyday, but the corners tore within 6 months. Also the handle has some discoloring like a coating is beginning to separate. The hardware for the wheels has rusted and if you don’t dry after rinsing it off water spots will appear. Some rust is starting on the body under the doors. Overall it works well and looks nice.

My kids bought me the Fresno as a gift because a I did nothing but complain about my Kenmore and Webber grills. Easy install, easy to clean, great accessories. I have used it three times now. PERFECT grilling every time. No hots spots, just perfect even heat. The burner knobs actually work and you can adjust through the whole temp. range. Not like my others consisting of Afterburner or Simmer. Plenty of space for grilling. As my kids say OMG! I love it! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new grill.

Received our grill a couple of weeks ago. Overall, it looks great. The photos online don’t do it justice. The quality feels solid. I’ve used it a couple times it works very well so far, leaves great grill marks, great control of temperature, including the side burner - used the side burner to heat oil and fry some meatballs and was pleased with temp range. The flame tamers slope downward (front to back) which I questioned when installing if it was intentional and different than any other grill I’ve had. Setup was fairly easy with no tools but far longer than “5 minutes”. Will update as time goes on!

Just received the Gunmetal Grey Island Grill with "Shadow" stacked stone this week and was highly impressed with the ease of assembly! I also agree that the side cabinets need a way to be secured to the center cabinet to avoid the gaps between them. This can be corrected with some self tapping screws I assume. I also noticed that the grill runs hotter at the rear of the grill when compared to the front. Another recommendation I would make is to make the stainless steel ice bin a bit deeper to accommodate the height of standard beer bottles. :-)
