Q: If it is an oil based product, how does it not move all over the place while shaving or does it just stay in place like your regular shaving cream does?

Not for sensitive skin! It has a perfume smell, smelt good, and it worked well, but it has left me with hives twice. The first time I wasent sure it was was 100% from this but after using it again today, I am confident that it is the cause of the hives. Note that I did not even shave my arms, just from contact

Exceptionally drying. Doesn’t moisturize when shaving. Had to keep adding more product. Only purchased because of other reviews and usual Cremo shave cream was out of stock. Smell nice but not what I expected from a shave oil. Dermalogica had a nice one.

Mehh its okay

Mehh, it works for shaving. I think I'll stick to shaving cream, it stays in place a little better. The oil made the floor of the shower a bit slippery. Also, I dont understand why ppl were raving about the smell. I was excited about the wonderful smell and in my opinion, it was very light and chemically.

Outstanding!

I didn't use shaving cream at all for the majority of my adult life simply because it didn't feel like it did anything more than using conditioner or something else I already had. I have super dry skin though and tend to like oil-type products so I gave this one a shot and it is awesome! I actually noticed a difference in how close the shave was and how smooth my legs were after. Also, a little goes a long way so this bottle I got in October is only just now getting to the halfway mark. It's a staple for me now, and I highly recommend!

Smells heavenly!

I am in love with this shave oil. It smells amazing, like a high end perfume, so stay away if you hate fragrance. I don’t usually buy a lot of scented products but I do enjoy the smell of this one. The packaging is nice, and the product itself worked really well for me. I have somewhat sensitive skin and this didn’t irritate mine.

I’ve been using this shave oil for a few months now. It feels really great on the skin and does not leave any kind of sticky residue. I haven’t had any razor burn since switching from cream products to this. One bottle usually lasts about a month and a half and it’s good price.

It smells so good and makes the skin so soft--- it's the perfect product for shaving (and after-shave), truly. Even if you could technically have a dry shave with Athena's razors, why would you want to do that when you have their shave oil for an elevated experience?
