Bizarre and dangerous design choice
This is almost a good product but has such a glaring issue that I had to return it. When using the winter side, when you zip the whole thing, you can see in the pictures a visible flap of Sherpa fabric. I assumed it was attached to the black part, or at least attachable in some way, but it just hangs loosely. If you use this with your newborn, the fabric flap could so easily flop back into the car seat and cover your newborn’s face. This doesn’t just make it so you can’t see your kid while driving; it could suffocate them. This is a baffling design choice to me and such a miss from Skiphop, a company that normally makes great baby products. I would strongly encourage you not to buy this. I had hoped it would feel like a safer winter car seat option than using a normal lap blanket with my newborn, but somehow they managed to make it less safe.

Not practical
I do not like how you can’t separate the layers on this depending on the season. I also despise the fact that you can’t use your visor with it on because how else are you supposed to block winds off of them. Not practical so I returned it.

The fleece flap keeps warmth in during cold days, so you can feel good about using and needing to also take your little out with you. Love that the flap can easily be removed for warmer days. Definitely something you need to keep your little safe during all seasons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this numerous times already now since it’s so cold out and I have been needing to take my newborn to the doctor with me and I have to say this car seat cover is amazing. My car was freezing the other day so I stuck my hand inside of it to check if my baby would be cold but it was so warm inside! It holds the warmth and protects my baby from the wind etc.. I’m very happy with it.

For the winter side it’s lined with fleece and so warm! Keeps the cold out so baby won’t be cold. Has a shade cover net for any warmer weather with protection still!
