Q: Is this cat food soft like tender vittles?

A: This food is a hard kibble. It is small pieces, but not soft. I'm not sure how it compares to Vittles.

A: This kibble is hard, as opposed to the tender variety for adult cats. When your baby is learning to eat crunches I usually mix some wet food in with a bit of warm water

A: You could ask your veterinarian or go to a reputable website for a more professional opinion. Personally, I wouldn't be in any rush. Depending on your baby's breed he/she could continue growing for two years or more. I know that mine is! Kitten food is great for mamas and seniors as well.

Kitten kibble
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've fed my clan this dry food for years.. all my cats love it and it seems even once they are adults they don't wanna give it up so I have to keep a bowl of it available at all times and daily it is the most emptied dish in my home.. it was also great when I was feeding feral colonies in winter because it provided excellent nutrition while giving them the extra calories they needed to stay warm.

Kittens Love It!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 🐈Issa is my 4th kitten eating Purina Healthy Kitten.I undertook a TNR challenge and kitten rescue this past year. There were over 30 unaltered adults and kittens everywhere! All the kittens were suffering from upper respiratory issues and severely underweight. Issa was one of the 25 kittens I caught. They all made it to intake at Halo Animal Rescue for adoption. But Issa was just too special, so she skipped Halo and came to live with me. She was healthier but still severely underweight. Purina Healthy Kitten dry food, in combination with Purina One Pro Plan kitten and Purina one High Protine (and a few cans of CN from her vet) helped little Issa gain weight. She went from about 1½ lbs at 10 weeks old to almost 3lbs at 16 weeks old. She loved the flavor and never left a trace in her bowl! Quality when it counts!Issa is now a beautiful 8 month old, full of energy, flaunting a silky coat and in perfect health. AND we only use Purina for our feral colony cats and kittens.😸Thanks!

Great product

A friend told me about the purina app and did the food finder and was recommended healthy kitten.He is a healthy kitten growing well, no more tummy problems and nice soft coat.Always recommended this to kitten owners.
