good quality, heavy duty!

Was so disappointed when this arrived. Tips on BOTH pinecones had been broken off and were glued back on. Coloring is cheap looking...not realistic at all. Positive note: they are heavy enough to hold up books!

I ordered these online, and they arrived in just a few days. The set is heavy and well-made. The color is very dark, pretty much a blackish brown. The ones that I received have a few scuffed places where the pink underneath shows through, but since I intended to put some highlights on the tips anyway, this is not a problem for me. They are a little pricey, but the fact that they are so heavy makes up for some of that. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend them.

I do think these are lovely. However, there was a very pungent diesel like smell that was off putting. I’m really sensitive, so I would think it was just me, but when my husband and daughter felt the same way I knew it was strong. They are also so heavy that we were nervous to put them in the spot that we had first planned, above my husband in his home office. We didn’t want them to fall on him, they could do some serious damage. So they changed plans and are in my reading nook. No harm, they are really lovely. But buyer beware!!

These came slightly chipped. However, they're heavy and serve their purpose as bookends. Note that they are also difficult to dust.

These are very substantial and well made. Heavy enough to actually work holding up hard bound books! Glad I took the chance! They look nice on my bookshelves with my other fall decor!

BLACK.... these are very black in color. One of the photos online makes them look brown with Goldish tips.... they are not. They are such a dark brown it’s basically black. Beware! Overall, they are tall and very heavy/sturdy. Just disappointed in the overall color.

These are beautiful, big and sturdy. One did come chipped, but we glued it back on and filled in the part with a little black marker, good as new!

I ordered these to be a gift for my mother-in-law, a pinecone aficionado. There are several online vendors currently selling pinecone bookends; I chose to order from Target so that I could get a gift receipt for my mother-in-law to easily return/exchange at a local store if she doesn't like them (also in case I changed my mind about what to give her, or if they arrived damaged). The bookends arrived with extremely protective packaging: first each bookend in its own plastic bag, then both nestled in separated compartments of a large styrofoam cube, which was then wrapped in 3 layers of bubble wrap, which was then placed in a large box with all empty space filled by crumpled brown paper). The bookends are absolutely beautiful - very heavy and of good size. They will look wonderful in my mother-in-law's home and I am considering ordering another set for myself.

these bookends are really beautiful. the first set i ordered arrived broken. i had to return them by UPS. the second set arrived broken also. they were so poorly and cheaply packaged that both sets were broken. i was refunded my cost. i really wanted these bookends, but due to twice being broken i didnt request a new set because i believe it would be the same outcome. it is a shame the company that has these packages them so cheaply that they dont arrive in good shape.

Beautiful!! Exactly what I was looking for and they have a nice weight to them.
