Description

Book Synopsis

Our Country is in trouble. After WW II we assumed the role of a Super Power and also became the world leader in standard of living, quality of life, income distribution, quality of healthcare, international respect and many other factors. After only 40 years of dominance our status began eroding. This book examines the elements that have and are contributing to the Country's decline. While some of the contents are opinion, most of the statements are backed up by facts and opinions of others who are much smarter than the author. Elements that are examined include: The constitution & amendments, our four freedoms, lost leadership, the healthcare tax, changes in our economy, the new royal class, service to country, individual freedoms, short vs. long-term thinking, government spending & transparency, fair wage compensation, middle-class fairness, citizens in need of assistance, the best representation that money can buy, least government is the best government, the election process, effective & participative capitalism, taxes - who pays and who should, and "hidden taxes", the free market economy, growth for the sake of growth, career politicians and their compensation. Practical and financially viable solutions are proposed to improve living conditions for our residents and in the process restoring our status and respect.
