Thank you for taking the time to ask this question. No, the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus does not require a Bluetooth connection to work properly. It requires a Wi-Fi connection to work and a recommended minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps for optimal performance, and connects through a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Bluetooth is only used temporarily during the initial setup process to pair the camera with the Ring app. Once setup is complete, the device operates entirely over Wi-Fi.

Dont buy ring cameras! No warrantys honored if biuhht from target
Don’t buy any ring cameras from here they are not considered an authorized ring dealer and they (ring) will deny any warranty’s because ring says they did not authorize the sale!!! Stay away from ring anyways it doesn’t work I’ve been broken into 3 times and was not informed of any people or alerted by camera at all. Also they stop working well after a month or whenever the warranty is up for return. They seem like crooks stay away from ring I kept trying to give them chances but they refused to care or work with me or anything because I bought them from target who they claim is an unauthorized ring dealer

Floodlight sensor works intermittently
Tech support competence is spotty. If you get it half price its still a good value with the bugs. I returned two ring cameras a month ago because both batteries died in 24 hours of a full charge. The hardwired floodlight is far from perfect but id better than an old sconce or nothing at all. I have requested that Ring make the option to adjust the volume for the Hi you are currently being recorded and also asked to create a scheduling option for this feature but neither are possible at this time.
