A: Zero illumination enhancement. Sure keeps accurate time though. Not a peep of sound either -- maybe a faint peep, but only if you have your ear an inch away !

A: I consider it Silent enough.....barely audible. Very faint ticking sound -- only hear if you stand beside it w/ your ear an inch away !

I have been setting and re setting this clock for MONTHS. It is too fast and I am tired of setting it and never knowing if the time is correct. I love the look for my office, but it is basically a piece of art since I cannot use it for what I bought it for.
