Needed a cooler for lunch. Figured I’d spend the money and get a nice one so it would last longer than some other one I had. Zipper quit working within a few months. Have just been using it as is but I wish it worked.

I have had two of the 30 can Cooler and they were excellent in all ways but both zippers failed in a little over a year. I lubed the zippers on a regular basis as recommended but no change. Wish the zippers problem could be fixed as I love the rest of the cooler.

I have the 30 can soft cooler. This is the second one I owned and the quality on the second one has gone down drastically! The zipper is literally falling apart at the seams. I’ve used the zipper lubricant and wash/dry it after every use. The previous one had a metal zipper that broke that you couldn’t repair. The warranty is a joke guess I’m back to buying Yeti.

I’ve got the Soft Pack Cooler, 30 can size. Bought about three years ago. Most reviews you see are written within the first year, the warranty year. At any rate ,so you’ll know, the interior vinyl lining tends to delaminate around the top edge. It made with a heat press of some type and there is no way to repair. I think RTIC, found the quality issue and have now renamed the same cooler to Real Tough Soft Pack Cooler. The one year warranty should really be extended due to the price you pay for these coolers.

Have used several dozen times. Like size and ice preservation. Zipper requires 2 hands. Used tube of lubricant that came with cooler and tried bar soap. Neither helped. Pull on zipper broke after abt a dozen uses. Repaired with heavy duty key ring.
Comes apart at the seams.

Really liked this cooler but I'm getting tired of gluing the seams back together but just as I re-glued most of the seams on the bottom I flipped it over and now another section on top let go. I guess the good thing is that I'm gelling close to having glued all of them back together. Thanks to Shoe Goo.

I have 3 of these. 20 can works. 30 can zipper broke at end and I used JB weld to glue it so mostly funtional. 40 can diffuse zipper failure at multiple spots and useless. Granted they are old but I have Yetis, Orcas and Pelikans that are much older.

I haven't used it yet. The zipper is tight. I probably should have sent it back. I wish they had an option for a less aggressive zipper. It seems like it would be a pain for everyday use. Tolerable to use a few weeks out of the year. Otherwise the cooler looks like it should do the job.

I am a school bus driver and bought this cooler to keep my lunch cold with 4 big ice packs. Its in my car for 4 hrs until i eat my lunch and my ice packs are all melted and my lunch and drinks are warm. So i ordered a yeti because i had call rtic about it and it was with in 30 days after i got it and they would not do anything for me but tell me to buy a different style cooler.

I would say this is a good investment for a day or two excursion. After following prechill instructions, the RTIC ice pack kept the cooler cool for two days. I had to leave my cooler in my truck for a total of probably 16hrs in 100Degree + temperatures. The first day the cooler was still cold and all my drinks were good. After sitting in my hotel room and in the truck the second day the top was warm and the cold residual was wearing off. My water was cooler than room temperature. With such a harsh test, I don’t doubt this cooler will perform my needs on a one-two day trip without being left in a hot vehicle.

Remember to lube up the zipper that it's comes with. If not the zipper pull WILL pull out you can get extra lube at RTIC. Well built great camo and keeps your food / drink Really cold for days.

The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the pocket. It’s so small and hard to get things into it’s almost worthless. A small wallet or a small keychain is about all you can get into it. Otherwise great cooler.

Used cooler for soft drinks only. Did a great job keeping drinks cold until zipper broke! Unfortunately, it is out of warranty. For the price should last longer than 4-5yrs. The old igloo coolers still the best!
