Schlage B-Series Bright Brass Brass Single Cylinder Deadbolt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My McGyver skills are limited, this was easier than I expected. I'm 65, running my smart phone to write this review is more complicated,. You can feel the great quality by the weight of this deadbolt. Only 1screw driver required. This was just a replacement, cheaper than going to locksmith to have cylinders changed for different keys.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This deadbolt is a solid lock and seems to be constructed with quality materials. My only frustration is that in the process of replacing an older Schlage deadbolt, I ended up having to increase the diameter of the bolt hole from 3/4 to 1". I would have had to increase the size of the bore hole as well but I removed the aluminum ring inside the outer ring in order for it to sit flush to the door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product materials are cheap and assembly is sloppy — too much play. I have old Schlage on my house and tolerances in the assembly are much tighter. On this one, bolts did not go in smoothly, deadbolt assembly flopped around, and turning action is stiff. Disappointing!
