I have been using it for 3 weeks now and unfortunately I have to stop. Although it smells good, it has darkened my underarms. I am now going thru home remedies trying to lighten them. :(

Bought this at a local Target. I used to hate Schmidt's deodorants because they dried out and became very painful to use! I have found a way to prevent this, though. The inner lid, which you normally throw away when you open a new deodorant, should be left on! The outer lid is insufficient to keep the product moist, but the inner lid does the trick. I have had my rose vanilla deodorant for many months now, and it is still as lovely as when I first opened it.
I have not had the negative experiences with this product that some users have, and I think this may be attributable to the fact that I only use Schmidt's deodorant during the cold months when I do not bother shaving my armpits. The problems with residue and irritation definitely arose during spring and summer, when I took to wearing sleeveless tops and, therefore, shaving. I cannot have any baking soda-based deodorant on my skin when it is shaved. Further, coconut oil being highly comedogenic (clogging) means that it forms a layer on top of the skin, doubly so with the help of the bicarb making it a paste, so it seems to trap foul sweat instead of let it evaporate. Strangely, this never happens when I leave the hair intact during the cold months. These are problems of all bicarb-based deodorants, even homemade ones.
I absolutely adore this product for most of the year. The long-lasting scent is beautiful, feminine, and fresh-smelling, and really brightens my day. Other people seem to like it, too--I get compliments on it even when I'm not wearing my customary vanilla perfume. I'll be sad when I must use something else.
I initially loved the deodorant because of the pronounced, lasting rose scent — smelled wonderful all day long. I thought I could feel dampness from time to time but would check and there would be no sweat or damp spots outside my shirts. I eventually noticed that the tops I’d worn with this deodorant were ruined. A brand new white top, worn for the first time with this deodorant, ended up with deep yellow-brown stains almost the same color as the deodorant stick. My beautiful blue oxford shirt, a staple in my wardrobe, is now ruined with brown stains in the underarms, and the stains look practically baked into the fabric. Normally you just chalk it up to a cheap loss and toss an item when stuff like this happens, but I was so angry about my clothes that I took the deodorant back to for a refund.

This deodorant is awful!! The smell is great but holy crap it hurts to roll on my armpit. The deodorant also leaves dark residue under your arms that doesn't come off with showering. I finally switched back to my regular stuff and that dark residue started to peel off and flake off of my armpits. It just trapped the smell in and left my under arms extremely dark and dirty.
I was looking for a natural deodorant and a friend recommended this one to me. I tried the rose and liked the smell and thought it worked well. After awhile I started noticing that my shirts had this weird stain in the underarm. I wasn’t a sweat stain tried washing and still there. I put together that the deodorant is staining my close and I can’t get it out. Because of this I have stopped using this and now can’t wear those shirts.
At first the deodorant smells fresh like rose petals And hooks you in. A couple weeks later and I started to itch and my pits burned in a rash. I washed in the shower with gentle cleansers and use a wash rag to scrub away any trace of the deodorant. I had to use desitin to get rid of my rash and burn. The deodorant felt thick and raspy on My pits and did the job of keeping a good sent. No BO. I can’t use it again, it caused to much damage. I didn’t take pictures bcs I’m so embarrassed of the damage it made. I’m now using the pineapple sensitive skin formula and have had better luck.
