Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape - 1.88" x 54.6 yds - Clear - Case of 4

My car was broken into, and I had a 5.5 hour drive back home without a driver's front window. I wanted to make the drive back with a barrier in case there was bad weather, etc, but wanted something that would not obstruct my vision. I used this tape to make a make-shift window. I drove 70+mph home and through rain, and this tape held up the entire way. I was so grateful Scotch made this excellent product. It made a stressful situation much better. Very durable and definitely kept the promise to stay sealed!

I have used this tape for a long while. After using other name brands that don't stick well, I tried Scotch box lock, LOVE IT!! It sticks really well to my shipping boxes and is very strong! I won't use any other brand, just scotch box lock tape!

I wish I could leave zero stars. Complete garbage product. Tears and shreds when you try to find the end. Threw the roll away and will buy a “better” product

I always wondered if it was me or the tape I was using; now I know it was the tape!!

This box lock tape truly is amazing. I never needed to use more than one strip of tape to keep a box closed. A huge improvement over the old tape I used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid heavy duty tape. In contrast to some others I've used, I don't feel like I have to excessively tape up a box to make it secure. It's also doesn't seem as prone to sticking to itself, which is a nice feature when you're attaching a return label to a box, i.e. the tape doesn't wrinkle and obstruct the text on the label. I received this product from 3M as a sample to review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is great. A lot thicker than the standard so it doesn’t sliver and it’s got some major stick to it. The tape itself is the best I’ve ever used and will definitely be buying again. The little dispenser however, has room for improvement. I’ve never liked those mini dispensers because they tend to be awkward and pop apart while using. Maybe a size in between the mini and the large tape gun would find an audience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tape seemed like a sturdy tape but I am not sure how well it will withstand. I used it to tape my plastic/vinyl cover (just like a clear cover for a table) that I have to keep opening and closing and flipping.

It always sticks together, peels unevenly, and makes a mess. Not this tape. The Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape is amazing. It peels evenly, it holds securely, and the included plastic holder makes it easy to delineate where the end is and tear the tape when necessary. I love it.

I recently purchased my first house and needed to move around the same time 3m offered me a sample of Box Lock packaging tape for my review. The timing was perfect! The tape is thicker than normal packaging tapes and it holds up really well. I didn't have to use multiple pieces to keep my boxes together which allowed me to get through most of the move with this one roll of tape! It even held up to my heaviest boxes, you know the kitchen ones with all the breakable plates and glasses. Even though I got this one for free, if I ever move again (oh my gosh I hope not LOL!) I will 100% buy this tape.

This tape is awesome. It sticks great and seals up the boxes well. You dont have to worry about the bottom giving out of the box with this stuff. It dispenses well too.

It’s definitely thicker and doesn’t fray/tear when it’s not supposed to, yet it has great sticking power. You won’t be disappointed when you use it. Even though the tape is super sticky, I was able to easily peel up the edge to start the roll without the tape shredding into several pieces. My first use was to seal a heavy box for shipping. The tape gripped firmly to the box without peeling up or tearing.

One strip of tape is all you need to seal your box. It feels thicker than other tapes and comes off the roll smoothly without making that loud "tape sound".
