Thankfully we'd ordered another brand of mounting tape other than this from Amazon b/c this one was terrible! Got it all cut and attached, but couldn't get the backing off so finally had to scrap it and threw away rest of the roll. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand.

I used the Scotch-Mount Clear Double-Sided Mounting Tape to mount my classroom marble collection jar high up so it doesn’t get knocked over, and students can’t reach it to sneak in extra marbles when I am not looking! It’s the perfect solution to my classroom reward system. This way the collection container is see through so the students know how close we are to reaching our goal to earn our classroom reward party! I have had it hanging in my classroom for the past 2 months and we were able to full the container up 2 times!!! Best solution for my classroom reward system! Thank you!

I used it on a large piece of artwork where I didn’t want to put holes in my wall. While it’s not a clear frame, knowing these are clear I know that when I have something glass, this will work great and not look tacky.

This has a great stick which makes it easier so it does shift and I can get it tight around the foam board so the fabric is tight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tape itself is pretty neat. It’s not too thick, not too thin. Is holding up well so far. It is being used outdoors in a free little art gallery (like a free little library). I took off one star because the backing film on it is almost impossible to get off. I had to fuss with it a lot using a toothpick to try to grab a piece of the film to lift. Sometimes when lifting the film off, the tape itself will also come off the item it was placed on because of the adhesion on the tape itself.
Success! Now working thanks to this product!

The pump would not suction to the bottom so I cut the scotch mount tape into small pieces and used it on the pump. It held it tight and fountain is now working!

The double-sided tape made it easy to hang my pictures and keep them flush against the wall. So far, it seems to be holding good, but we have the summer to go through with many days of over 100 degrees to go through yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tape has great grip and is quite thick so it conforms to bumpy surfaces. I used mine to stabilize large shadow box frames on orange-skin textured drywall to keep it from tilting (one side has a larger item displayed). This is a permanent tape and won't be removed anytime soon. One drawback is that, since the tape is so thick, the adhesive on the side of the strip makes the roll quite sticky - I had to retrieve the packaging to store the leftover roll.

I used the tape for to hold an A/C unit vent in the window instead of drilling holes in my window sash. It did the trick. My the reason for the four stars vs. five, removing the tape's backing is very difficult and a pain. It would be great if there was a tab that could help with removing the backing. I received this tape for free to review. Again, great tape, just wish the backing was easier to peal off.

The only drawback is the adhesive is hard to remove from the carrier portion of the tape as it is soft in warmer weather (the kitchen was 77 degrees) making it somewhat tricky to remove.
It holds and is truly clear!

There are certain situations where this would be the PERFECT solution to a mounting problem, unfortunately, I didn't have one at hand. This would be the perfect product for mounting something clear on a window, glass shower door, acrylic container, mirror - something where you didn't want the adhesive to be obvious. My husband seized on it and gave it a test. He used it to mount some items in his workshop. They had varied weights, different materials, and all were mounted on painted cement board in a humid environment. It has been over a week and all items are holding strong! He loved the tape, especially the versatility. He had a hard time removing the backing, the reason for four stars instead five. The tape can be cut to any size and is truly clear.

This product allowed me to mount the tray directly too the mirror, keeping it dry. The mounting tape was strong and kept the tray above the sink.

I have tried the foam style mounting tape in the past and while it was effective at holding, it didn’t look great always having the white sticking off the wall. I was very happy to see that this tape is truly clear (as you can see in the photo)! It looks so much better mounting my small black picture frames with this clear tape because you can’t even tell it is hanging with mounting tape due to the clearness! It has even been very durable holding up in the heat and steam of my bathroom as I use it to tape/mount inspirational quotes to my bathroom mirror. It looks so much neater, cleaner, & nicer not just having packing tape over the top of all those sayings on my mirror! The tape is definitely sturdy and fairly thick even, so I have no concerns about my picture frames falling, as it is handling the weight of the wood frames just fine. This tape is definitely worth the cost, with how good the quality is!

It is easy to cut the tape to size, but a little difficult to peel the backing off the tape. It adhered well to the back of the picture and to the wall. I don't know if it will damage the wall or back of the picture as it is still hanging securely on the wall. I would recommend this tape to be used on surfaces that you are willing to possibly have the tape peel off paint or wallpaper when you remove the item.
