A: That's a great question! Although the dispenser is reusable we do not sell refill rolls of the Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape on the 1.5 inch core. The larger roll of the Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape with catalog number 3850-RD is available in refill rolls as its dispenser is also reusable. We offer refill rolls of the Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape that are 1.88 inch wide tape on a core is 1-1/2" can either be purchased as refills in quantities of 2 or 6 and the product numbers are: DP-1000RF6 or DP-1000-RR-2. Absolutely disappointing. Why did scotch change their formula? The new un-sticky tape does not even hold a cardboard box shut. And can’t even hang my very lightweight yarn Halloween garland when I’ve been able to do this so many times before. I’m returning never buying again

Pure nightmare! totally failed to hold.
We purchased this product a month ago and used it to seal boxes we were using to move. Everything looked great, until we went to move. The tape kept falling off of the boxes and the boxes were opening while being transported to and from the truck. It was a nightmare! We can't believe that what used to be the "best go to product in the business" fell apart as much as it did.
