Does what it needs to do
So far so good. I've been using Expansion drives for years. Only time will tell for sure with a product like this, but I'm hopeful based on previous experience.

Completely satisfied - will buy more in future
The USB 3.0 drive arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. I was able to replace my 3 8-TB drives with one of these 24-TB drives which freed up 2-TB of space between the 3 drives. Although the drive is the same size, it is 3X denser and performs as well as the 8-TB drives. I'm really happy the prices dropped from $600's to $400's range. I'm able to store a complete multi-media library for my grandchildren's education on one single drive that I can hold in the palm of my hand,... amazing. Tech has come a long way since I first started with 5-meg drives and 32k main memory. At work, 300 meg disk packs were considered huge and each drive took up the space of a washing machine.

Great USB Drive!
This drive is excellent! It's fast, reliable, and has a sturdy case. I've been able to make a 2 TB backup of my main computer and raw images of 5 HDDs in a RAID array from a NAS. Very satisfied!

Very Slow to Load
Loads extremely slowly. Only 3.46TB of 10TB used. Previously used LaCie drives which loaded almost immediately. (Aware that Seagate owns LaCie now.) Otherwise, having been using the new drive for a little less than a month so can't comment on longevity. (Mac mini, Apple M1 chip, 16GB memory, OS Sequoia 15.1)

Bought as a 4th backup drive.
Have this about three weeks now and so far so good. Transferred 2.2gb in first two days with no problems. Drive arrived in good condition in spite of being shipped in a bag, runs quiet and has been faster than I expected. I have 4 Seagate drives of various sizes with the oldest being 7 years old and it gets used every day. Hope this one is as good as the others.

Pure marketing with no benefit for the user.
The marketers came up with the idea to sell the product under the guise of an external data storage device, but without technical knowledge of how hdd works, the product was weak in the end. The hdd stops at the slightest idle and you have to wait every time it picks up, which makes working with it in this form a terrible user experience. It would be easier to disassemble it and put the hdd itself in a desktop computer and it would be more useful.

Great Performance at a reasonable cost
I have been working with this Seagate external hard drive for a couple of weeks now, and it has been performing well. I have several other Seagate external hard drives that have really performed well over many years, and I expect this drive to be just as reliable. I am a satisfied, repeat customer!

One disk, and less heat than a storage array
This is so much better having ONE disk than having a storage disk array that spews heat with multiple disks, raid setups, etc. for the price, rather than get a storage array i got two of these 24tb disks, one for my data and one for its backups.

Excellent product, price and quality at point! I purchased the 6T expansion and when it's time to transfer files it goes smoothly quick! It has its own power cord to turn on so you will hear the little fan working while using it. Easy to use and compact to keep.

Works great just as I needed.
I bought this as I collect movies and my 8 TB was getting full. Once received did a transfer of files and it was off to the races. It is my main backup along with another 10 TB Seagate.

Great HHD. It's fast considering its and HHD. Very good price/storage ratio. It's relative quiet during operation and has a good size. I like the way it comes packeted. I will keep it in its same package for long term storage.

Excellent Drive plus a warning for MacOS users.
Bought this drive to replace an aging NAS. I didn't need the network connectivity anymore and this was a great value and an excellent drive. A warning to MacOS users, reformat the drive to APFS before using it. I learned that one the hard way. MacOS can struggle with an exFAT partition this size. Just reformat to APFS before using.

Best add-on Storage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad I bought this to provide add-on storage for my Mac. This has 12 TB and rescue data recovery services included. I use for my mac but also works with windows. This allowed me to consolidate files to a single location and free up space on my computer's internal drive so it works faster. I love that you can drag and drop easily and now all my photos are backed up in a trusty place. Definitely recommend.

This makes life sooo much easier!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this for both my pc and my sons Xbox. Trading between the two decides literally could not be easier or faster. There is a serious amount of space on this device. The box itself is sleek and doesn't take up much room at all. It blends in well and isn't an eye sore in the least. The data transfer speeds are very fast making this easy and time efficient as well. Plug and play makes my life super easy.

Amazing Storage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is a huge gamer and always complaining that he's out of space. We use this external drive for his Steam games. It is also quiet which is perfect. I could not ask for a better external hard drive.
