We wouldn't recommend opening or tampering with the DS-01® Daily Synbiotic capsules in any way, as our ViaCap® is especially designed to ensure the bacteria stay alive through digestion and make it to the colon. That said, you may certainly try experimenting with how you may be able to tolerate the capsules—any method in which you can preserve the 2-in-1 ViaCap® capsule would be perfectly fine. A: The daily dosage for DS-01® is two capsules per day (which includes 53.6B AFU + 400mg Indian Pomegranate). DS-01® can be taken any time of day—consistent daily intake is most important. We generally recommend taking the capsules together, but feel free to space it out if that works better for your routine.

A: The directions inside the package say to take 1 pill a day for 3 days and then 2 pills a day thereafter.

Taking the capsules with water or juice is also absolutely fine. There is no best time of day to take them— we recommend whatever fits best into your routine!
