Sharper Image Portal Window Fan Black: Quiet Operation, 3 Speeds, ETL Listed, 300-500 sq. ft. Coverage, Electric, No Assembly

I’ve experimented with the old style of window fans (two small circular side by side fans) as well as propping a box fan in our windows. This unit far surpasses the performance of these other options. This is quiet, sleek, does not let in much light (so great for baby and toddler rooms that wake up at the first sign of daylight), and is perfect for double hung windows. I purchased two for two separate bedrooms and am considering a third after experiencing how awesome these are. Only change that I would make would be have the speed level lights dim once you’ve made your selection (they are kinda bright at night and I had to cover them). No issues with rain coming in either. Buy one. You won’t be sorry. You’ll sleep better and keep from running your AC so much on those “on the fence” temp kinda days.

It's a good fan, not super powerful like it's going to vent a whole house, but it does what I expected. I really wish it had a front cover, I don't know how they never thought of that. It's made so you could easily make a rectangular foam block the width of the fan and put it in place using the two end handles that stick out.

It's sturdy and it's design allows for more privacy when it is installed. It's quiet and I love that you can also exhaust or vent air out of your room as well.

No matter what we do it's either a million degrees or freezing cold. I have never been able to keep a controll on the temp just in my room. I was so excited to find this fan. Not only does it suck in cool air from outside it also sucks out hot air from inside. It's super easy to switch from suck to blow. It didn't quite fit my window with the screen on but fit perfectly try when we removed it. It has helped so much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this fan a few weeks ago, and put it right to use at our lake house. Our primary home has central heating and cooling and so our windows are primarily closed at home, but our lake home is older and does not have HVAC upgrades, so this device was the absolute perfect addition for some great airflow. The fan is incredibly easy to set up at nestles very snug in the window with the given material to ensure a good secured seal. I had no worry about it falling out. This device is great because you can also use the exhaust setup, which for us at the lake house is just amazing. Our lake home is fairly small, and it sits uninhabited during the week, so with heat from the outside it can get a musty or stuffy type of feel and smell inside. This fan was incredible in being able to draw out that musty air feeling. I also feel that the fan is very quiet. I have never owned another window model like this, so it is difficult for me to compare noise among other models like this one, but generally speaking it is quiet compared to other box type fans and other floor models I have owned in the past. Totally recommend this fan. It has been a huge upgrade for our lake home!

The fan itself is powerful enough to provide the airflow that we need to keep a constant temp. The cool thing about this fan is that it has an exhaust to get out any unwanted odors. It is a little noisy, but we like that especially while sleeping. I like the black, sleek design also. This is an overall pretty good fan especially for a smaller room or space.

I definitely have recommended to a few others already.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is wonderful! It’s scorching hot where I live in Cali and it always seems to be the hottest in my bedroom. I put this fan in my window and it gets my room so much cooler. I am actually able to sleep and relax comfortably now. It was pretty easy to install once I got the hang of fitting the foam pieces into the sides. They fell out a couple times at first but once I got it snug in the window the fan hasn’t budged. Highly recommend!

I like that it can with different sized foam pieces to fill in the gap between the window frame and the fan itself. I think they’ll provide better insulation than the typical fan folding plastic many come with. The fan is very quiet while running, even on high. With a push of a button you can reverse the airflow. Lastly, when you power off, the vents close so you can leave this fan in the window. Really nice product, and it looks good too.

My kitchen gets very hot especially when I am cooking, so this helps bring a breeze inside. It also has an option to suck air out so it is literally perfect for our kitchen. If there is room left in between your window and the fan it comes with material to put in between the space for it to fit perfectly.

This window fan has 3 speeds and we love it. It’s in my bedroom window and provides enough noise to provide a peaceful nights rest while keeping us cool. This window fan is lightweight and small but works so good. It cools amazingly well. And the best part is that it is so dang quiet. When my husband put it up in the window for me when I was at work, I came into my bedroom and it was fresh in there. He said "how do you like your cooler" I could not hear it at all. First fan I have ever owned that was so quiet. Keeps us cool at night.

We turn it on at night to help cool off the room, since the summers will be gone soon and fall weather will be approaching we will not be using our air conditioner so this fan will serve its purpose.
