As you can see, the words were not smeared at all and the dreaded ink smudge on the side of his hand was non-existent. I’m very happy to have found these pens that he can use without making a mess! The grip is very comfortable and I like the texture. The pens are chic looking. The ink is good quality and while it is liquid, it doesn’t seem to smear. I love the vast selection that Target has for the exterior of the pens, but the ink itself, is black. Lavender is my absolute favorite color but I do love writing with a black pen. The plastic barrel was a little more lightweight than I would have liked but it still felt comfortable. The pens write very smoothly. The ink did not skip or smear for me. My left handed daughter really appreciates the non smearing ink and the fact that she can get them in her favorite color lavender makes them even more of a favorite. 4-pack is all black in so a good basic. The top of the pens says what size tip the pen is, and has a clicker top to make opening and closing easy. I love the grip around the finger placement for zero slipping while I write too. The plastic tip was very difficult to remove and seemed to impact the pens ability to write smoothly. I will spend more time getting all of it off to improve the quality but I wish that were easier to take off. These pens look fancy and I am excited to use them. The plastic tips were difficult to get off for first time use but didn’t seem to impact the quality of the pen. The ink comes out smoothly and doesn’t bleed or run. I like how light the pen is as well. The ink is so clean and bold and the ball point is extremely smooth as it rolls. I scribbled a large patch of ink and was impressed with how quickly the ink dried. It took just a few seconds for it to not smear and it did not bleed through the paper at all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gel pens are great! They are definitely “thicker” like 0.7 so if you like thinner ink, stick to 0.5. However, these slide well and work great. They have a silver stripe around them but these are black ink, not silver. They did not bleed through the thin notebook paper I used. They also say non smudge so I wiped the page IMMEDIATELY after I wrote “sharpie”. In the third picture you can see the tiny smear on the dot of the eye, but that was it! The pen just glides across the paper. The ink dries so fast that it won’t smear or smudge. A great feature to have, especially for a gel pen! The pen is light and comfortable to use. I love the color of the barrel, since it is unique and different. The ink writes so smoothly and I like the thickness of the ink as well. It is a rounded tip that does not rip or tear your papers.
