SheaMoisture Flaxseed Edge Control Gel Coconut & Hibiscus, 3.5 OZ

This product has a yummy amazing scent! This has more of a pomade texture and gives my hair a firmer hold. It works really nicely on my baby hairs when I do a slick back ponytail/bun except when I looked closely at my hair, my baby hairs were white. This product doesn't have any shine to it once it dries. I really like this gel for my braids and to keep the length of my hair from frizzing. It works perfectly to keep my hair into place.I prefer to use it on my damp hair than dry hair, I find it works better. I like that the gel just easily combs out and doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff.

I always had the hardest time sainting fly away son the front of my face. No matter what gel I used or hair spray they always ended up sticking out of my head. Recently purchased this from my local grocery store, and my fly aways have not budged! Specifically designed for baby hair/edges this smoothens like a dream! Smells amazing and not strong at all!

I use it in my natural hair not just for my edges but also to style my natural curls. It helps keep the style all day without feeling heavy, greasy, or causing flakes! No matter the length of my hair it works amazingly!! The only place I can find it lately is Walgreens. This should be everywhere! Please don't make this incredible product hard to find!

I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis and this is the ONLY edge control that doesn't irritate my skin. It's a month since purchased and my edges love this stuff. Once I apply it I simply put on a satin scarf for about 15 mins and then I'm good to go for the entire day.

This product not only kept my growing edges down, but didn’t make them look too greasy and actually stayed all day despite this hot and humid South Texas weather.

They laid nice for a good 15 mins. 2 mins in this Texas heat and it was like I never even tried to lay my edges LOL. Smells great though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVED the fact that this product had my edges laid when I initially put it on, wrapped my edges and pulled off the wrap. I was so excited, it did what I have been wanting an edge control to do for YEARS, but then I looked closer. My edges were dry and white. There was ABSOLUTELY no shine to the area they were snatched, but dull and white. I decided to spray a little oil sheen on them so they would shine like the rest of my hair and that was a HUGE mistake because now they were no longer sticking they curled right up. I went with it, but when I made it home after 8 or more hours my edges were white and thick with product. It has great potential it needs some type of oil to make it shine while snatching, and to not make it flake and cake. At this stage, I DO NOT recommend, needs more work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this is the bomb gel. I have one side of my hair tapered super low and this gel held really really well. In the video my curls are pinned up and you would think my hair is cut short. Also it DRYS SUPER FAST!!! This a great hold gel!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus is one of my favorite lines so I was excited to receive this edge gel. I really liked the hold this gel gave me. It was a light to medium hold which is my preference especially when styling my natural hair. Also, other edge gels tend to irritate my scalp but this product did not. Overall, I enjoyed the product and would purchase this product in the future.

While it does a good job as an edge control, it leaves a heavy residue. that I didn't like so much. My edges held remarkably well, but the white, flaky residue was problematic. I probably would not use this product in the future. Not a fan of the scent either.
