disappointed
The smell is decent but the most important part is that it doesn’t do its job. It’s not nourishing what so ever. I don’t know if I got a bad batch or what but it’s the worst conditioner I’ve ever used. I’ve tried it on my kids hair multiple times and my own thinking maybe it’s just a texture difference. But sadly it was still bad.

Too much fragrance
Fragrance is way toooo strong! I had to throw it away because I would get sick just shampooing my daughter’s hair. When I would try to put her to bed, the smell from her hair would be too much for me. It’s not even a good smell. It is extremely perfumed and smells nothing like I expected from the ingredients. I love SheaMoisture’s products, the effectiveness of the shampoo was still good. Her hair was clean, shiny, but I couldn’t tell a significant improvement in her tangles. I was super disappointed in this shampoo. I hope I just got a bad bottle that was over fragrances because there is no way others can possibly use this and not gag.

Doesn't Clean Hair
This shampoo does NOT clean my 8 year old’s hair - like at all. I watch him scrub his hair with it in the shower & it is still dirty/greasy once it dries. It’s awful. I normally love this brand!! Also, for those who want to know, this shampoo barely foams (which is ok, they don’t have to in order to work).

Formula change
This used to be my favorite shampoo in the world, even though it's marketed for children, it actually seemed to really absorb into my adult hair. My problem is, this went from being my favorite go to and went from the absolute opposite with the most recent bottle I got. The scent is insanely strong and does not smell like what it used to. It smelled like straight up men's cologne??? I'm extremely sensitive to scents, which is another reason why I loved it because I could tolerate it. But in the shower last night this was so insane, I had to borrow my mom's shampoos and had to try and wash out the Shea Moisture one to get that scent off. Not cool. Don't know why these companies switch things up and add more fragrance, but this was heinous. On the hunt for a new shampoo now. Super disappointing.
