    I love my Shokz!

I put my Shokz through a lot on a daily basis. They stand up to whatever I do. I sweat heavily most days. As a long distance runner, I love listening to music while I run. Because of the design, I can still hear friends talking and also hear cars coming. I can easily turn down the volume and answer calls easily from my Shokz. It is so convenient that I can't be without my Shokz!

    Works well

I use them for mainly tv and music at home. The ones you put in your ear always start hurting during long uses. I have used the original set and just bought the 2nd version and it seems to have better sound. It takes a bit of getting used to but works well.

    Great with a small caveat. . .

Got these so I could use them at the gym without the worry of them falling off and they're a home run in that category. The back bar is not adjustable though, which leads to a hot spot on the back of my ear that's a bit unpleasant. But honestly the best workout headphones I've ever used.

    I love my Shokz!

Did I "need" another pair? No. But sometimes I forget to charge, and it sucks being midway through a run and your headphones die. ANYWAY-- these do charge fast, and they sound great. The fit is perfect. This brand has my loyalty forever, as long as they keep up the good work with a solid product. I recommend them to everyone, whether they're runners, walkers, sedentary, whatever. They're my favorite headphones when I don't need noise cancellation.

Easy to use. Great acoustics - better than expected. Eerily good - hard to believe everyone around me can’t hear it too! Love not feeling isolated from the world when listening.

    Not much of an upgrade

I bought my first pair of shokz 7 years ago, they were great. Replaced them because they finally broke, got the openrun pro 2 and I really don’t notice any difference except they’re heavier and the battery does last as long. I’m pretty disappointed for the cost.

    Nice upgrade

Overall pretty nice headphones as I had an older model, but I run and cycle. A lot of times I will say that the sound volume needs to be a bit stronger. Can be pretty difficult to hear at times in certain conditions.

    Best workout headphones

These headphones are fantastic! They are comfortable and reliable with whatever you are listening to. Shokz don’t have that thumping noise as you run like you get in your ears with regular headphones. It’s nice that I can still be aware of my surroundings as well, but still get the clear and crisp sound from headphones.

    Surprising

I honestly hadn't expected much when I bought these. I got them during a really bad TMJ flareup after doing some research on the best types of headphones to wear as a backup that wouldn't aggravate the pain, and bone conduction headphones were top on the list. I was pleasantly surprised that the sound quality was not only fantastic, but that the noise leakage I'd been worried about during my research of these wasn't a huge issue, either. These are some genuinely solid headphones. My only criticism is that they can be a bit awkward to wear if you have longer hair, and they can cause a little bit of discomfort over time where they rest against the ear.

Switched back to OpenRun Pro after nearly 2 years

I've had every model of Shokz's bone conduction style headphones dating back to the titanium, and they've all been great. The OpenRun Pro 2's were the first model that felt like a downgrade though. After a year of using them daily here are my thoughts. Sound is good, but its not the bone conduction part that improved, its the 'air conduction' that made things sound better, and personally, I am not interested in the 'air conduction' side of things. What initially attracted me to this brand was bone conduction, and compared to the OpenRun Pros that came before, the bone conduction felt worse. Much more sound leakage on the Pro 2s than the Pro, and as someone who wears and uses these type of headphones in all types of situations where I might be around other people, the sound leakage when using air conduction cancelled out any benefit that the improved sound provided. Turning off 'air conduction' also left me with headphones that were much quieter than the original Pros, but since I spent money on these I kind of forced myself to try to love them. Build quality was rough. While I generally like the switch to a universal standard like USB-C, from day one the charging flap never sealed properly (it had a large hump in the middle that wouldn't sit flat). Then a couple months in, the volume buttons became harder to press, specifically, the volume up/power button. This progressed to the point where turning them on was difficult, and I gave up using the buttons to control volume at all, opting instead to use my phone volume buttons. Eventually, the button failed completely, which left me unable to turn them on. The mic also stopped working completely about a month before the power button finally died. I was never able to use the mic for anything more than talking to Google Assistant anyways since people would get very angry if I tried holding a conversation with the headset on, but this was still a bit of a let down. In the end, I considered buying a second pair, but saw my OpenRun Pros sitting around and since I can't go a day without my Shokz, I threw them on. Crazy how much of a night and day difference it was for me. I didn't realize how much I was tolerating when the better product was sitting there all along. My OpenRun Pros sound louder, and while they don't sound better than the OpenRun Pro 2s with 'air conduction' on, they're pretty close and have much less sound leakage. The Open Run Pros are also smaller, stick out less, and the buttons are as clicky as ever. I also realized that as much as its a nice thing for all my electronics to have USB-C, the proprietary magnetic charging cable is actually much nicer for my use, as it snaps on quick and there is no charging flap to deal with. Overall, I do love Shokz, and will continue to buy their products, but it took me nearly 2 years to realize that the OpenRun Pro 2s were a downgrade for me, and that I'm much happier with my original OpenRun Pros.

    Love Shokz Headphones!

My partner and I love our Shokz headphones so much that they are basically extensions of our bodies because we wear them so often. They're so comfortable that it's easy to forget they're on and accidentally leave them on all day, though I do notice a little bit more discomfort with the v2 than the v1 after wearing them for hours (I wear glasses too). The bone conduction headphones are a game changer because you can hear what's going on around you while using them. The audio feels noticeably more surround sound on the v2, though I wish they would get louder because it is difficult to hear the audio when my surroundings are loud (like in the gym).
