Q: Does the ready-to-use Similac Formula need to be refrigerated at all the times? I am asking this because I am planning to travel with 2-month-old baby and the flight is pretty long.
A: Once the 2 fl oz bottle has been opened and poured into your baby’s clean bottles, both the formula in your baby’s bottles and any left in the 2 fl oz bottle should be refrigerated immediately and used within 2 days. If your baby doesn’t finish a bottle of formula within one hour, throw it away. When a baby starts drinking from a bottle, bacteria that are naturally present in your baby's mouth enter the bottle through the nipple hole. If any formula is left in the bottle after the feeding, these bacteria will grow in the leftover formula. Refrigerating the bottle and reheating it later will not stop the growth of bacteria. Q: Do Dr. Brown's narrow neck nipples fit these? Thank you!
A: Many nipples available in retail stores may fit our 2oz bottles. You may want to look for the words 'classic' or 'standard' on the package. Hope this helps! - The Similac Team
