Here's why: No International Roaming in Japan: Simple Mobile explicitly states that international roaming is available only in select Latin American countries (like Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, etc.). Japan is not on this list. This means your Simple Mobile service will not work for calls, texts, or data when you are in Japan. Calls Must Originate from the US: Simple Mobile's unlimited international calling features and international calling credits are typically for calls originating from the US, Puerto Rico, or specific roaming countries (like Mexico).
