Simple mobile is an absolutely horrible nightmare of a company. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. After trying for 2 days to get the phone working they want me to give it another 24 hours. Also paid for service twice to try to resolve issue. Please stay away from simple mobile. I don't know how they are still in business!

Stuck with prepaid card

Purchased a simple mobile phone from Target and the prepaid card. I could not get the phone to activate because it kept saying the codes were invalid. I called simple mobile and they said it was a target issue and had to take the phone back to the store to be scanned at the register. Target said there was nothing they could do and that it was a simple mobile issue. Ended up returning the phone but now I’m stuck with the prepaid card because it was sent via email and Target says they can’t reimburse me for it. Complete waste of time and money with tons of stress and frustration added in. I would never recommend this to anyone.

Awful Product, Awful Customer Service

I bought this product to use whilst I was travelling in the US on business. The SIM did not activate despite repeated attempts. I bought a different SIM entirely which worked instantly. Target told me I had to contact Simple Mobile for a refund, and Simple Mobile said I had to contact Target. Neither want to refund this product despite the fact that it is defective. Customer Service was unhelpful and couldn't understand my issue, nor understand when I was asking to submit a complaint. I have no use for this card now, and a complete waste of money. I have sent an email based on what I have and hope for a reply, but I'm doubtful as I had to scour the internet to find an email address.

Avoid Simple Mobile / Verizon

I purchased two $25 cards from Target in January to pay for minimal Simple Mobile service for February and March. A few days after the card to pay for February service posted I added the card to pay for March. This payment has apparently disappeared - and I have no messages indicating that it was applied to additional service for February. Messages to Simple Mobile do not go through, calls are disconnected, and my (still active) account has been inaccessible for over a week. Simple Mobile provided me a very inexpensive phone when I lost my regular one, and for that I am grateful. Over the long term, however, I would not recommend this phone service to anyone. It would have been better to go with a different carrier. Especially as they will not unlock the phone so I can go with a carrier other than their new owner Verizon unless I pay them $90 plus applicable taxes. The individual support staff are fine, the Simple Mobile - and presumably now Verizon - system is impossible.

Dont use Simple Mobile

My Boyfriend and I got SIM cards and phone cards to switch our phones to simple mobile. Activating our phones online didn’t work so I had to contact customer support to get them activated. It took three days of talking to different people on customer support to finally get my phone activated. Also for them to tell us my Boyfriends SIM card couldn’t be activated because there was something wrong with the SIM card and we would have to buy a new one, and that there would be no guarantee that the new one would work. My Boyfriend decided to switch back to the old phone service for now till we find something else, because it’s a waste of money to keep buying stuff from simple mobile of its not gonna work. Since he’s not gonna use the phone card we got for his phone, I was gonna use it on my phone, but simple mobile wouldn’t let me add it my phone, and my service is expiring today. They make you buy another SIM card to re activate your phone it your service expires. I’m sick of waiting forever to talk to people on customer support when there’s only like a 1% chance that person will actually help you and they’ll just send you to wait forever to talk to another person. And I’m sick of wasting money on Simple mobile. It seems like they just want money and they don’t care if you actually get what you pay for and they won’t give refunds or exchanges. I’m done with simple mobile and I’m switching to a different company for phone service.

only used talk text and a rare internet search had problem once and talked to helpful clear speaking and effective young man in the Philippines for help in getting the monthly re-up done don't know what hot spot is but will at some point I feel empathy for the older folks of the early 00's now as things are still changing fast - young people it will be your turn soon enough! Tip of the day: Make big decision with input from others and always with faith that things are half full so to speak
