    We love this can!

    We had our original one for over 10 years and needed to replace it. This was our 2nd one. It is well worth the money and very helpful and useful for our family. We highly recommend it.

    Garbage!

    I’ve had this can a couple weeks and the sensors are not working properly and the gears inside are making a crunching noise. Way too much money for this piece of garbage.

    Good trash can

    I purchased it in the matte gold to match my kitchen and it is beautiful. I love the motion sensor open, it can be battery operated or plugged in, I haven’t figured out the voice activation yet so can’t comment on that. This is my 4th simplehuman trash can, I like the ease of use.

    Convenient, sleek, malfunctions a bit

    5 stars for the physical design—I love that food & trash won’t get stuck at the top, back of the inner lid as trash goes in. The size of the sensor can is just right. 4 stars for the technology—the voice command doesn’t seem to work at all. The sensor can opens up when no one is near it. 4 stars for the price—I wish it was a bit less expensive.

    Warranties matter

    I have always loved simple human items. From my dish rack to my trash can. My hands are always full so when my touchless tag can stopped working I tried every truck in the book to no avail. I contacted simple human and shared what was happening and my warranty allowed me to get a new replacement within just a few days. Thanks for keeping things simple for me!!!!

    Really like the quiet clothes lid, and that it responds to voice command

    I love the garbage can. I had a prior simple human garbage can for over 25 years. Really like this one quite a bit better because you can barely hear the lid open and close. And I love that it responses to voice commands.

    Great can, odor eliminator fell in trash

    Great trash can! Thin profile, and both the motion sensor and voice activation work well. It is easy to clean. The only issue is that the odor eliminator which was included in my purchase fell off into the trash and I inadvertently threw it out! I attached it according to the directions, so I would consider that the one flaw. Otherwise this would be a five star review.

    You are meant to be able to talk to this product and tell it to open, but it never ever works.

    I genuinely thought it would hear you and open when you shout at it, but it never does. It occasionally works for my girlfriend, but never for me. Overpriced for it not actually working.

    Unreal, garbage can friend

    The can is absolutely superb and simple. I would give a shout out to my friend Brad for recommending this garbage can. I talk to it daily and admire its skills. We may not see hi to eye because it is shorter than me, but it opens that lid as soon as I ask it to. it makes throwing away garbage simple.

    You'll Love This Can!

    I love my Simplehuman motion- and voice-activated trash can. The convenience of not having to step on a pedal every time you want to open the lid is great but being able to tell the can to open before you even get to it is incredible. It looks great with my other stainless-steel appliances, offers plenty of trash capacity, and the replacement bags are easily accessible from the built-in storage compartment. I also want to mention that it comes with a 5-year warranty, which shows that Simplehuman stands behind its products. If you're on the fence about buying one, I think it's absolutely worth the money. I give it a 10/10!

    I cant live without this can. Some see it as a luxury or a toy. It's one of the most important things in my house. When doing food prep, it's a must have. I can never go back to a manual trash can.

    Best trash can ever.

    This is my third trash can one is in my basement. One is in my kitchen and I had just recently had one that malfunctioned but it was under warranty and that was replaced very quickly and easily and I thank simplehuman for that. I really love my garbage can nice look sleek goes with my stainless steel appliances either by voice command or sensor, and I have the compose attachment and soon will buy the shredder to complete the look, I recommend it.
