A: It is a magnetic hook. I attached it to the fridge. So it’s not using ANY wall space; I would rewrite the quote like this: “these hooks are magnetic and they make use of generally unused magnetic areas of your house like the fridge or washer instead of your walls; saving your walls for more important things.”
The original quote is using the basically using the word “efficient” in a very awkward way.

Holds my purse when I travel
Using this for our cruise! It’s thick, strong and has more space on the actual hook than most magnets. Held my medium size heavy purse well. These are great for travel. Don’t put items on the floor. I’ve even brought it to eat lunch and sometimes metal from a table will stick to it so I set my purse on it instead of behind my back, on my lap or hanging off my knees.
