A lot of room for improvement… right side of guard should arch higher at base for better visibility, needs slide out guide on left side for better stability , v guide notch is vague poorly machined squared step notch would be better. Track notch in base would be nice. Even numbers from blade face to deck would also be nice…

If you're a serious woodworker... get all three.
Bought my first 7 1/4 worm drive a few years back. Didn't take long until I wanted the 10 5/16 to improve efficiency with 4x stock. Just got the 16 5/16 and this thing is a beast. I use these for precision cutting applications and you can really dial in the 90 with the two adjustment screws/clamps. This is an excellent saw for serious carpenters. Only complaint, and it's really not that big of a deal, the plastic on the handle of the 10 5/16 was a different material and I feel it's more substantial and has a better feel than the 16 5/16. Not a big deal for me as I hockey tape all these handles anyways.

16 5/16 Skilsaw is worth every penny
My new Magnesium worm 16 5/16 Skilsaw was ready to put to work, right out of the box.. Not as heavy as other brands, this bad boy cut through 6x6 timbers with ease.

it's a beast!
I have managed to avoid buying the 16" for quite a few years, the 10" has been able to do what I needed. When it was time I'm very happy to have gone with the wormdrive option. Skill worm drive saws continue to be the best in all of their prospective classes

Use it for making lumber
I'm able to make 6x6 beams with my chainsaw sawmill tool and then use the Skill Saw to cut the beams in to usable planks. Haven't used it much but it's much easier to use! It's so easy to push through the 6" timber

Bad deal, auxiliary handle not included
I finally pulled the trigger only to find out the one handle is called, “adjustable auxiliary handle,” is not included. An absolute safety aid and the saw shouldn’t be sold without it. A real shame.

Nice Sawquatch
Amazing machine! The saw cut just what I needed the way I needed it cut. I am looking forward to using more in the near future with my slabs.

Great Saw
Love the saw, just wish there were a few more blade choices as in something with more teeth for a finer cut

Residential carpentry Beast
Cuts through green treat 6×6 with ease. Cuts through tripple lvls with no bogging down. Trully a saw that is a match for the fast paced and accurate clean cuts required for a professional carpenter. 5 stars definately would reccomend purchasing, well built saw.

Not for the faint of heart, it's powerful
Back off your piece when you pull the trigger, it is pretty powerful and has a bit of a kick. It cuts true and smooth, just remember it's not a little 7 1/4" Skil so take your time on the cut.

Better than Makita.
I've had a Makita 16" for 20 years. This saw is superior. The cast magnesium base is excellent.

Everything you hoped for
Great power & quality. Grown men look at this saw like women look at newborn babies. My blade was not square out of the box & needed adjusting so don’t start cutting without checking first. I’d buy this saw again!

Joining with Sasquatch
As a professional builder, I recognize any tool that saves time and offers a dependable result has value to the customer. When a laborer has to handle a unit multiple times, a process takes longer than when a unit is handled only a couple of times. If you are able to understand the cost associated with having one or two team members save an extra five to six minutes on a unit such as a decorative post or beam and multiply it over dozens of units, then it’s hard not to justify the low cost of this saw. If you are a pro and handle 6X material semi-regularly, this saw is worth keeping in the tool shed. There is another teal-colored beam saw available, it is a good tool too. This one is better. At least for right-handed people like this guy. This saw allows one to cut large lumber and shape it with precision. The pictures I’m including are 6x6 posts fitted together with pretty tight joinery. The time saved on a project like this is significant with a beam saw.

Great saw, wobbly blade
Great saw, easy to see the line that is being cut, easy to maneuver and hold. Blade has a lot of wobble to it though.
