Skippy is still the best peanut butter around
The flavor and percentage of peanut chunks has been consistently perfect for decades. The only thing that seems to have changed recently has something to do with the ease at which the oils separate and pool in the jar. As far as some people's claim that Skippy now contains some sort of GM ingredients, GOOD! GMOs are a good thing, but so many people don't understand science or bother to learn what it means. They just think it's some "added chemicals." If anything, it means fewer added "chemicals" because GM plants are generally require fewer pesticides. The only ingredients that currently have GM seeds available are the 3 oils. There are no GM peanuts. If you see someone complaining about GMOs, run away from them as fast as you can. They're the closest thing we have today to witch hunters.

Can't see expiration dates
I have no problems with the product. My issue is not being able to see the expiration date. You have a dark blue cap and black lettering for the expiration dates. Can you please put it somewhere else on the jar, or use white ink, or even change the cap color. You have choices. There are a lot of people in this world with vision issues so please take this into consideration!

Skippy Super Chunk Peanut butter is favorite peanut butter. I have stopped buying it because it contains GMO - please remove all Bioengineered ingredients from this product.

I've bought Skippy super chunk peanut butter for many years. I just bought 2 new jars and the butter is all runny and oily. Did you change something? The unopen jar I will return to the market, but the other one is unusable it's kinda grossy looking.

Still A Changed Product
After all the reviews complaining about the change made to your product, I had hoped you might quietly return to the old formula. I purchased a small jar and it is still soft and "stir-able" and no longer the Skippy Super Chunk I have loved for years. Blame Hormel? Probably. Bought the name and ruined the product. I always used to have a jar in the house but went without these past few months after my first review. Sad to say that there's no change. Won't try again.

More oil than peanuts why did you change the recipe
We have been buying the 5 lb creamy peanut butter now because it's cheaper that way about $10 but now the peanut butter is so oily we have to steer it first and even then it's way more oily than it used to be why have you changed the recipe are you trying to discourage people from buying your peanut butter do you think people won't notice maybe you think we're stupid and you can save a lot of money because we're stupid. I used to love Skippy's have been buying it for years why would you change the recipe.

Oily Skippy Super Chunky Peanutbutter
This is the only brand I have ever purchased. What's going on with their peanut butter that now it is way too oily.. The last two jars I purchased were dripping with oil even after I've stirred in.

Current bottle of Skippy Super Chunk peanut butter is oily!
I've been eating Skippy peanut butters for decades! This current bottle is very oily and not as appealing as previous bottles. The oil is on top of the spread, can be mixed in somewhat, and makes spreading the peanut butter more difficult. I hope the recipe has not changed, but something has changed! This is not the natural peanut butter which I expect to have oil separation. I do not want to change my brand of peanut butter, and may have to give up my chunky style if oil separation continues.

It still tastes well but consistency has changed from before
I remember Skippy being more formed and solid and spreadable and not oily looking. But since the past year or so, all the newly opened jars are just lookin soupy, runny. Even my mother started asking me if something about it changed because she noticed it just looked wetter than what we were used to. At least it still tastes more or less the same as before except for the wetter mouthfeel

What happened?
Like other very recent comments and reviews noted, something in your formula changed. It's not the oil that bothers me, but the taste. The containers I've bought and pitched after a few spoonfuls, had a chemical taste. Almost rancid like, as if they've gone bad. I chalked it up at first to bad batches. But after around jar five, something wasn't right. Please return your old peanut butter formula, I can't waste money on something I ditch after a few bites. I'm forced to change my brand. I didn't want to but I can't keep doing this. Let us know when Skippy reverts back to the formula before this unpleasant change. Thank you.

What happened?
I've loved and been eating Skippys chunky peanut butter for years and it really is my favorite but now it is really oily. If you're not going to offer the original recipe 🙏🏼 can you let me know the best/easiest way to get rid of all the oil floating on top? I tried pouring out the initial oil on top and setting paper towels on top and that helped a little bit, do you think pouring it into a coffee filter would work/help? Is there any chance you'll be offering the original SSC again?

They screwed it up!
Why did you change Skippy? It's so runny now that I can't use it for sandwiches anymore! I should send a photo of the jar of Jif that I had to buy today… I won't be back until you change it back. :-(

I would buy this product if I could find it!
I have been a 'straight out of the jar' peanut butter eater since I was a child. For the past couple years, Super Chunky Skippy has been very hard to find on the shelves! It is not like I live out in the middle of nowhere or have no major supermarkets near me. I would just love to find the LARGE jars again!!!

You have ruined a wonderful product. I am a 70 year old man who has enjoyed Super Chunk in sandwiches and out of the jar since I was a child. I will reiterate what others have said, it is so oily and runny it drips off a piece of toast and when opened there is at least a quarter inch of oil sitting on top. One of the reasons I have eaten Skippy for so long was the fact that it was solid and not overly oily. This is not separation…my wife finds it difficult to use in the baking of cookies and will have to find a different brand for baking…I'm sorry you have made an old man very depressed…JT

New formula Skippy is AWFUL! Will not buy again
I've eaten Skippy for 50 years and have always loved it. Would never buy another brand no matter how poor I was. I'm so disappointed in this new runny crap Please change it back. Until then, for the first time in 50 years, I'm switching peanut butter.

What Have They DONE??
Skippy Crunchy has been the only peanut butter I would eat for 48 years. But they have done something to it, not what it use to be. Just like some other reviews, it is super oily, runny, slimy, and just plain gross. I have had several jars like that now. Last one I literally dump an inch of oil off the top down the sink when I opened it, that was a first. I plan on buying a smaller size to see if that is better. But if it is not I will probably just give up on peanut butter because I hate all the other brands for similar reasons. A childhood fav now gone??
