dog got sick : concern about fabric

with the wildly popular goat toy discontinued, i bought this as a hopeful substitute. unfortunately, my shepherd started vomiting clear mucus at all hours after playing with it. after a lot of worry and a vet visit, we realized the fabric (like long microfiber) was shedding, irritating her throat and digestion. once we removed the toy, the vomiting stopped and she’s now doing wonderfully. it was an expensive and stressful lesson in being more careful about dog toys ordered online. sadly, the blue sloth ended up in the trash, adding to plastic waste but better that than more days of worry.
