NEW SCENT and it HORRIBLE. So much fragrance, no longer the lovely scent it had before. DISGUSTING. SAME THING HAPPENED WITH THE SOAP WITH THE FISH DESIGNS. That one is WORSE and NAUSIATING.

Have used this product for decades. Finally ran out so purchased some refill bottles on sale. The company added a scent without changing anything on the packaging to indicate the change! They ruined this product for me. Why why why do my hands need to smell after I use a soap? To make it worse, the scent smells like rotted citrus fruit to my family

Ever Since you changed The White Bottle “Soothing Aloe” to this “fresh scent” it’s been unusable due to the amount of chemical perfume smell. As a scent sensitive person this is very sad, your soaps used to be the only ones i could use without my hands breaking out in a rash and giving me a headache. Before the revamp….it was the best.

I had exclusively bought this hand soap for many years because I am very sensitive to the smell of most other brands. I bought softsoap it in bulk during the pandemic. I wish I had stocked up on the old original formula. This new formula is TERRIBLE! The smell lingers on your skin and it is nauseating!

We have been using Soft soap Soothing Aloe Vera hand soap for many years and loved it. It was great for our sensitive skin and sensitivities to perfumes/scents. Our hands were not dried out by using this soap. Imagine our reaction when we used this new aloe vera fresh scent hand soap. It is very irritating to our skin, our hands are so dry and the scent is very irritating to our allergies. My husband thinks it smells like popcorn! Unless we can find the old formula, we will not be buying soft soap hand soap again. Please note that, other scents are not an option as they are just as bad as the new fresh scent. Please bring back the original formula Aloe vera soothing hand soap!!!

This new scent is horrible! I had been using this forever and loved it, but when you changed the smell I switched to the Target brand, but they recently discontinued it! I am very sensitive to strong perfume smells and this used to have a very light smell—please bring back the old formula!

I am still very annoyed at the change you made with the soap. At the time I purchased 10 refill bottles to get me through hoping you guys would hear the feedback and change it back to the beloved soap of before. I have gotten down to my last 4 bottles and lo and behold, the old bottles have the new formula in them. The new soap causes physical allergic reactions and nausea in me due to allergies and sensitivities. So, I have no choice but to switch. I am so disappointed. I exclusively bought your soap for my home and carried it with me to other places due to it being safe for my needs. Please reconsider or release a sensitive skin line!

I’ve been using this soap forever until I ran out a year or two ago. I cannot stand the current scent (my relative unknowingly bought it and we avoid using it). It gives me a headache not only when using but afterwards since the fragrance lingers on my hands. Why not listen to your customers and abandon this scent to return to the old. If you don’t want to, at least create a “new” retro scent aloe so we don’t have to suffer with other brand soaps that are not quite the same. Yes, we can contact you to get a different scent suggestion but the reason everyone used the old aloe was because it was mild and pleasant. Please help us by listening to us. I will keep checking to see if anything changes while searching for a good, permanent substitute.

I used to love this soap And it was the only soap I used for hand wash for many years It was gentle on my skin and had only a trace of any smell, absolutely no perfume smell. The new formula is just terrible and I will never buy it again. The first time I put in the refill with the new version, I was immediately aware that it was different. The smell is awful. It stays on the hands after you finish washing. Even the feel of it on the skin afterwards seems different, more drying I hope that the company reads all of these reviews, I Understand that the reason we bought this soap. And if they want their loyal customers to continue buying it, they need to return to the previous formula

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This soothing clean scent is horrible....flares my allergies. The original Soothing Aloe Vera was perfect, smelled clean and I could use it.

Those of us like to wash our hands before we eat would prefer to not be overpowered by soapy smells every time we raise a fork or spoon to our lips, or take a sip of coffee and smell its aroma instead of the stench of your Aloe Vera Fresh Scent Liquid Hand Soap! I was lucky enough to buy several refills of the old version, but now that I've run out I'm annoyed enough to tell you that this new and improved product of yours is truly horrid. The smell is not just too strong and overbearing, it's stinky as well. You've lost yet another Soft Soap Customer.

I used Softsoap brand Soothing Clean Aloe Vera liquid soap exclusively throughout my home for many, many years. The product was simply perfect! It kept my hands moisturized through frequent hand washing and had the loveliest fresh, clean fragrance. I am so disappointed that the company has changed the scent. I have truly tried to adjust to the new scent, but I cannot. It does not smell fresh or clean to me. It actually leaves my hands smelling unpleasant. I was a dedicated loyal customer that must now move on. I am writing this review in hopes the company will consider going back to the lovely original clean scent one day.
Discontinue this and bring back your Up&Up Aloe Soap!

The new formula (renamed Softsoap Soothing Clean) has an unpleasant and stronger scent and it is not as moisturizing as it used to be. As a preschool teacher I need to wash my hands frequently and would exclusively use Softsoap Soothing Aloe Vera. I gave it a several week try but it's just too smelly and drying to continue using. Sadly,I now need to find a different product.
