I had searched far and wide for a dual compartment that was slim enough not to stick out into the walkway of my kitchen? and also could open under the partial overhang of the counter. Well, this was the only one because of the winged lids. I also didn’t want an electric one because I hate changing batteries. I found this exact model on 3 other retailers sites. Target had a sale, then the additional 5% off with my Circle debit card, and the fact that Target has a 90-day return policy, sealed the deal (because I’ve seen reviews that some started messing up around 3 months). It’s perfect! Finally, I don’t have to have 2 separate trash bins. And I saved $20 with the sale and discount!

Opens with the foot pedal as hand might be full. Looks nice and the lid closes on the bag well enough that smells stay inside so as not to have flies and smells that I don't want. Solve problems my older can didn't. comes with a bunch of new bags, if I can find where I put them. Looks like most all standard bags will fit.

"It perfectly fits under the over hang of kitchen counter top, lids don’t touch counter & has two bins for recycling/ trash. The winged/ butterfly lid design is brilliant. Also love that it’s not battery powered so I do not have to waste money on batteries for a trash can, which is a waste of money and not eco friendly. It is just simple, aesthetically pleasing, & functional. Too excited over a trashcan but when it’s one of the staples of your kitchen you should be too!! Five stars."

Recently purchased a condo built in 1984--kitchen is small and even a small trash can would not fit under the sink. The slim design works well sitting sideways and still allow opening the cabinet door and refrigerator door without moving it.

The can is nice looking and seems to be well made. I would buy it again. The recommended trash bags of the same brand I do not recommend though. They tear open easily and do not fit the trash can.
