I bought this a few weeks ago and have found it to be a decent little speaker - considering it's size, the sound is excellent although a little heavy on the bass (maybe there's a way to alter this that I don't know about). I love the colour (I bought the blue one) and it's great to carry around, especially as it has a generously sized carry strap. My only real niggle is that it frequently cuts out; this is nothing to do with distance from the device I'm using or the amount of charge on either of them. I haven't found a definite explanation. It starts again as soon as I press play on wherever I'm casting from but it's an irritating problem.

Best speaker in stereo mode
I purchased two XB100 Portable Wireless Speakers, and they sound excellent in stereo pair mode. I connected both speakers to my phone, which was connected to the projector. This provided me with a great mini-theater experience in my room. I highly recommend this product and would rate it a 5/5.

Excellent performance and value from Sony as usual
Excellent quality design and execution of a brilliant compact wireless speaker. Handles well in the hand, sits safely with it's rubberised finish body and hangs anywhere quickly with the well-designed strap. For the price extremely good sound. Instant connection, no need to faff about in settings, and lasts for hours. Absolutely ideal to travel with and listen to the Radio on BBC Sounds. Would absolutely and fully recommend.

Sony keeps being the undisputed king of quality
Wow! Such a good sound and amazing features for less than the cost of an Alexa or HomePod. I’ve had the XB-50s for a long time, so de used to upgrade and was amazed by all the new features and the depth of the low frequencies (super bass).

Great sound, no volume.
I bought this as a remote speaker for my android cell phone. I have severe hearing loss and do not hear the phone ring at night. The remote speaker was intended to wake me in the event of evacuation orders or other emergencies. I live alone, so this is a life-saving necessity. The XB 100 has great sound, but little volume. It did not work for me at all. This would be a great speaker to set up next to you so you can listen to your music without disturbing others in the room.

Great speaker for good price!
I gave this little speaker to a friend as a gift. He loves Sony electronics and this little speaker works great! It's pretty loud for something pretty compact in size and the sound clarity is great for the price! But most importantly it has a mic for connecting to your phone via Bluetooth for hands free phone conversations and it's pretty lightweight. The unit has a strap that can loop onto something and hook closed and the surface of the speaker has a little bit of a non slip coating so not too easy to fall out of your hands.

Best H2O speaker
Use it for paddle boarding. It fell in today and I went after it…..IT FLOATS…so that was unnecessary. I swam with it under water while it was on and music never stoped playing.

Terrific -- unless you upgrade to Windows 11
I use(d) this little speaker with my laptop and love(d) it! Great sound, amazing bass, doesn't take up much real estate on my desk. But then it became necessary to upgrade to a Windows 11 laptop (my old one couldn't handle it), and the little Sony wonder doesn't work. I thought it might be either "user error" or just a driver issue; but then I looked online and lots of people are complaining about the same issue: works great on Win 10, doesn't work at all on Win 11. Very disappointing, I liked it... but the mfr isn't up front about the incompatibility with Windows 11. Time to buy a different external speaker (or use the new laptop's sound).
