Great Sound
Good build quality and superb sound from this speaker. Perfect for listening outside. The new orchestral album by Haevn is crystal clear. This speaker gives a rich, warm sound and bass providing detail in vocals and music. The app is pretty basic but gives you the information you need. You do need to adjust the equaliser to get better sound.

Why does this need a firmware update? Lame!!
Be forewarned of firmware update! Mine just quit working after a year even after being fully charged. Turns out that you need to find a firmware update. Who has time for that when you just want to plug and play? I bought two of these and gave one to my brother. His still works, but it's just a matter of time that it'll be dead!

Bass distortion
Generally very happy with my purchase, only issue is even at -4 setting, there is slight distortion in the bass at moderate levels, don’t know if this is a sample variance issue.

Sound is good but it will not connect to my transmitter as my Bose Soundlink Color did. While I was very happy with the Soundlink Color it is old enough that the battery no longer stays charged & it sometimes gets a lot of static. This new one will only connect through my phone. I have a device that does not have bluetooth of it's own so I have been using a transmetter that I connected to the sound through the headphone jack. The Flex 2 just will not connect with it. As far as I am concerned the newer model is much worse that the older model & I am not at all happy with it! It is very light weight & easy to move but if it won't connect to my device then it may as well be the worst junk out there! The price is too high for a model that will not connect to a simple transmitter

The SoundLink Flex Portable Speaker (2nd Gen) offers up to 12 hours of battery life at moderate volume, with reduced time at maximum volume, and a Bluetooth range of up to 33 feet (10 meters). Bluetooth disconnections can happen for several reasons, such as moving too far from the paired device, interference from nearby electronics like Wi‑Fi routers or microwaves, outdated drivers or firmware, or power‑saving settings that limit performance. Pairing with multiple devices at once or rare hardware issues can also cause repeated drops. Environmental factors, like crowded areas with many wireless signals, and mismatched Bluetooth versions may further contribute to connection issues. To improve stability, we recommend keeping devices close together, updating firmware and software, disabling battery saver mode, disconnecting unused pairings, and restarting both devices to clear temporary glitches. Game changer. I always bought cheap speakers assuming it didn’t matter or I’d bring it out, get hammered and lose it- no biggie just order another one. Sound is so good out of this tiny speaker, I can never go back to the cheap ones. If i lose it whilst hammered i shall order another bose
