Sony LinkBuds Clip Truly Wireless Open Earbuds (Greige)

I listen to audio books whilst gardening, doing food prep, cleaning - in fact any repetitive chores that don't need full concentration are a pleasure when I've got something great to listen to. I was delighted by my purchase of these LinkBuds Clips - I love them! They are soooooo comfortable, they pair and bluetooth connect so easily and it's brilliant that they don't block out all other sounds, so I remain aware of what's going on around me whilst listening to my audio books. I like that I can reduce sound leakage so I don't disturb people close by, and I can manage settings with an app if I choose.

I found the product to be uncharacteristically unreliable and frequently had to reset to resolve faults. I have now returned the product. When I received it, it would not charge the buds from the case. I reset it a few times and it eventually started charging. First day of use they malfunctioned, I tried the reset but it did not work. Eventually I managed to reset when I returned home to put on charge while resetting. Generally, the tap controls are not very intuitive, the app often couldn't find the device to change modes and the volume was not adequate for outdoor use.

I like the color and sleek case of these earbuds. They are very comfortable for long wear due to their design . The noise cancellation feature works very well. It is very effective in most cases except loud crowds. The sound quality is very good. The bass of music feels like if you listen on large speakers. The design of earbuds are very unique and holds ear very well. I really appreciate this design where I don’t have to put earbuds directly into my ear. It’s very nice to have these earbuds for phone calls and music during workouts.

I’ve been using the Sony LinkBuds Clip for a little while now and they surprised me in a really good way. The open-ear design took a day or two to get used to, but once I did, I actually prefer it for everyday use. I like being able to hear my music or podcasts while still being aware of my surroundings, especially when walking outside, working, or doing things around the house. The fit is probably my favorite part. They’re really lightweight and don’t give that plugged-up feeling some earbuds do after an hour or two. I wore them during a longer workday and honestly forgot that I still had them on. The clip style feels nice a secure without feeling too tight, and they stayed in place better than I expected. Sound quality is solid overall. Since they’re open-eared earbuds, you won’t get super deep noise-isolating bass like traditional earbuds, but the audio sound is clean and well balanced. Voices and podcasts came through especially clear for me. Calls were also surprisingly good. I tested them outside in a busier environment and people said my voice still sounded clear. Battery life has been great so far too. I haven’t had to think about charging much, and the quick charge feature is pretty useful when you forget to plug them in overnight. Pairing was quick with my phone and switching devices was a breeze. The case and earbuds themselves feel really minimum but premium. I also like that the packaging was minimal and didn’t feel wasteful. These are defiantly geared more towards comfort, awareness, and connivence over super immersive noise cancellation, but for everyday wear they’ve been super enjoyable to use.

It last anout 10 hours. The sound clear. I use them mostly for phone calls. Despite being noise canceling, I can still here other sounds. Which I don't mind. It's good to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Cute color too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great design. Feel very lightweight. Sound quality is impressive considering there is no seal whatsoever by design. Very easy to pair and connect. Just be sure to dl the Sony Sound Connect app. Upon connecting I did immediately have to update the firmware which is annoying. USB C charging is excellent and convenient. They arrived with about 85% charge out of the box so that was nice. The charging case is nice and compact. The only other open ear buds I've tried are the Baseus ones that had the sound by Bose. These are 2x the price and I'm not sure they are 2x better but so far they are definitely better.

The lavender color is absolutely beautiful and they are super lightweight and comfortable to wear. They stay securely in place without slipping, which is a big plus. The linkbuds clip are my all time favorite for everyday ear wear. I have over the ear full cushioned, push in the ear, and hook over the ear, and all come with their own problems. Full cushioned I see as hazardous worn outside. Push in are uncomfortable for my tube size and have caused infection. Hook over the ear never feel fully secure. The clips fit perfectly, leave your ears free to hear electric cars when out and about, and apart from knowing you're listening with them, you can forget you are wearing them. Sound great - Comfy - Practical - Favorite for everyday listening.

I actually think the left and right indicators are just so you know the battery levels because I can swap them around with no issues. The clip feature makes it comfortable to use, listen to your favorite music and still be able to hear conversations around you.
