A: S1 has a built in rechargeable battery.
A: The S1 is rechargeable and the S2 needs to be plugged in.
A: Both are hospital grade. S1 is rechargeable (can operate on battery or plugged in). S2 must be plugged in.
A: What’s it come with ?
A: Basically just portability. The S1 is blue, and has a rechargeable battery the can last up to three hours without being plugged in - easier for moms needing to pump on the go, or even just at home (you don't have to mess with an outlet, you can just start pumping). The S1 is blue and the S2 is pink. The S2 does not have a rechargeable battery of any kind.
A: The S1 is a rechargeable battery meaning you can take it and use it anywhere. The S2 is the same pump, but it only plugs into electric, which limits its use. I used the battery operated one and found out was helpful to be able to use it in the car or wherever I needed, versus being tied to an outlet to use it. It’s light, so you can pick it up and move with it, if necessary.
A: It has a built-in rechargeable battery, making it portable, which the S2 does not have in functionality.
A: Hi Newmom. All of our electric breast pumps have hospital strength suction capabilities. The S1 Plus and S2 Plus are widely accepted by insurance companies nationwide. The S1 Plus pump is similar to the S2 Plus in terms of power. The only difference is the rechargeable battery being in the S1. If your insurance company provides the S2 Plus as a covered pump, you may have to specifically request an S1. We have an insurance lookup tool on our website you can use to search different payers and see what pump options are available in your state. Thank you for reaching out.
A: While the Spectra may have great suction, it is not designed to be used in a hospital setting by 150 women per year. Watch out for marketing words. Hospital 'strength' is not the same as multi-user.
A: Hi Elara. Yes, you can pump both breasts at the same time. When you want to only pump one breast, make sure you cover the tubing inlet at the base of the pump with the air cap. Happy Pumping!
A: Hi Kaira! The S1 Plus pump model has a rechargeable battery that is built-in. It cannot be removed. If for some reason the pump is not working or the battery isn't charging correctly, please call our customer care department and we'll fully replace the entire pump.
A: The s1 has a built in rechargeable battery. The s2 (pink one) does not have a rechargeable battery and must always be plugged in.
A: Hi Autumn! Spectra pumps are designed to be used with Spectra bottles. Although designs with similar threads can be successfully used. In some cases, bottle convertors may be purchased to allow other designs to be used.
A: Yes, the Avent bottles are able to be attached to this pump.
A: Yes, this is a double electric pump.
A: The Spectra S1 Plus is a single a double electric breast pump. It comes with everything you need in the box to get started to single pump or double pump.
A: Hello! Spectra offers breastmilk storage bags for use with all pumps. When choosing a storage bag, be certain it is BPA free, has a leak tight seal, and is designed for breastmilk storage. Always follow published recommendations for breastmilk storage, thawing, and reheating.
A: The Kindee storage bags are compatible with this pump using an adapter (included in the Kindee breastfeeding kit or sold separately). The breastfeeding kit also includes nipples and "bottles" that attach to the storage bags, which eliminates the need for transferring milk and the use of actual bottles that you would need to wash. Way less work. It's my first pregnancy, and I am doing as much research as I can to take advantage of anything that is out there that will make our experience smoother! We received our Kindee breastfeeding kit today, and I am eager to test it!
A: I use the Phillip Avent Natural bottles and they are compatible. Not sure about any other brands.
A: Hi Stephanie. This is a great question. bottles are designed and tested for use with Spectra pumps. We do not recommend their use with other manufacturer's products as we cannot guarantee maximum performance and efficiency. Although we do have a Small Bottle Cap Adapter you can purchase which will fit any standard narrow neck milk bottle and fit a Spectra flange on top. Please reach out to our customer care team if you have any issues. We appreciate your question.
A: Hi Rebecca P. Unfortunately the Spectra S1 Plus does not come with a bag.
A: No, unfortunately, it does not.
A: That was probably the price of the warranty. :)
A: It's very likely a typo. This is a $200 pump! If I could order it for $24.99 I would!
