The Spenco Ground Control Medium Arch Shoe Insoles were designed to reduce excess material around the heel to smooth out your foot-strike. With updated learning on the mechanics of the foot, Ground Control seeks to work with the foot, not against it. The neutrally positioned center-of-pressure design centers the foot and reduces pronation forces. Features: Perforated EVA body. Nylon arch support. Polymer forefoot pad for energy return. Love my Ground Control Insoles!
I did quite a bit of research in trying to find a good quality insole for my hiking shoes. I have a pair of Merrill hiking shoes and a pair of Merrill hiking boots, and I really enjoy wearing them on hikes wear the ground is uneven. However, I have found that after about 4 to 5 hours my feet start to get fatigued, so I decided to upgrade the insoles to see if that will fix the problem. I was looking for a quality insole that didn't necessarily have to be the most expensive, and I believe I found them. The Spenco Ground Controls fit very well in my shoes and boots (I can interchange them depending on which I am wearing that day). I haven't had a great opportunity to wear them out hiking yet since I just got them last week, but I wore my hiking shoes the entire day the other day, and my feet never got the slightest bit fatigued. I'm really looking forward to getting out and testing them on some trails, but based on my recent experience, I'm feeling pretty optimistic. Excellent fit! Excellent quality! And by far, not the most expensive (not the least expensive either)!
