Excellent product. For me and my hair, the color came in strong for my dark hair and lasted longer than 3 months. This will be the 3rd time I have used this product. It is true the color will fade as time goes on, but even after 6 months the color was still very noticeable and continued to look natural. For me, this is the best color product for dark and coarse hair.

Love this product. It lifted my black hair color right out and I was left with a beautiful reddish hair color. It lasted for about 6 to 8 months. Color did fade after 3 months but it was still noticable outside and still looked good.

This brand use to be good. Mixing the dye was horrible, the color no longer comes in a tube, you have to squeeze it out of a pouch & that was messy. My hair was a dark burgundy before I dyed it & for some reason my roots came out blood red & the bottom of my hair came out darker then plum, more like blackish/Brown. I’ve been dyeing my own hair for 25yrs & never had this issue.

I have the same issue as one of the other commenters - I have washed and washed and washed with the coldest of water and let sit in conditioner for ever and a day - but this product is still bleeding out. I'm even starting to band around the middle area now. None to happy with the 2 tone. Guessing I'll either green tone it or bleach bath it to play with another color - hopefully the bleeding doesn't happen with all the colors.

Bought this color for my spouse, and the Rhythm an Blues for myself. He was really pleased with the result, as it completely covered all of his grey with its vivid shade, and it was much easier to use with the one-step process.

I like the color, and it was very effective on my medium-dark brown hair. I like that I don't have to do separate bleach and dye steps. I wish the conditioner packet were easier to open and that the other component were easier to get into the bottle and mix -- even when it looked mixed, I found that there were unmixed parts still. I like that it's not bleeding like the Midnight line does.

Bought the double lift permeant color i red thinking it would be as advertised and really be a permeant color. What a total LIE. Colored my hair as directed and they color was just as it was advertised on the box. I rinsed and rinsed but the water never went clear. So I dried my hair ad went about my day that is when the true nightmare began. The next weeks would be full of crying and regret. It has been 3 weeks and the color is still bleeding out of my hair, it has ruined towels , bath mats, shower curtain and even my shirt. I can't go out in the rain because as soon as my hair gets wet it bleeds down my shirt weeks later. I can't go swimming because it bleeds out in the pool. There is nothing that sees to stop this nightmare. I contacted support and they told me all the colors they sell are really semi permeant DO NOT BELIVE THE LIE THEY PRINT ON THE BOX. Steer clear

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate our customer's input. Double Lift is a permanent color. In order to help stop the bleeding you need to do a really good rinse with cool water until the water runs clear, shampoo very well and rinse again with cool water until the water runs clear, apply conditioner allowing the conditioner to sit for about 10 minutes then do your final rinse with cooler water until water runs clear. Cool water closes the cuticle allowing it to lock the color in and preventing color from bleeding every where. Try to stay away from hot water as that allows the bleeding to continue.

Did Not Lift. My Roots Were Left Bright Red And That Is All. It Was Messy & Hard To Get The Dye Out Of Bottle. And The Color Bleeds Bad!

Double lift is applied to half an inch to an inch away from the scalp first then applied to the root area to prevent hot bright roots.

Honestly! I did not think this would work on my hair. I have Thick 4a/4b hair with a few grays around edges and in my crown. My hair was previously dyed but grown out with about half an inch of blond on the end. I followed the instructions and the color came out beautifully! I'm so happy I decided to try this.
Don't do blonde under it!!

Would probably have took if my hair was 2 shades lighter. didn't even bother posting a photo because on camera look like my natural dark brown hair.

If ur hair color is a bit darker it won't be as vibrant. I'm very satisfied with this product and would 100% recommend.
