Caution: Perform a skin allergy test 48 hours before each use of this product (see insert). Remember to buy your product 2 days ahead of time. This product is a direct dye and will stain. Avoid contact with clothing, furniture, counter-tops, etc. Protect hairline and top of ears with petroleum jelly to prevent product from staining skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows; doing so may cause blindness. Wear gloves provided in kit. Thoroughly rinse hair after application until water runs clear. Wait at least 14 days after bleaching, relaxing or perming before coloring. Strand test before applying bleach or color to hair. Take care not to overlap previously bleached hair with bleach, as this may cause damage to the hair. Do not apply bleach to hair that has been previously colored with metallic dyes. Do not bleach relaxed or permed hair., Hair color can cause allergic reactions. Important: Follow the usage advisory and safety warnings. A: Color should wash out of the scalp when you wash the color out. If some color is still present after the first wash a few more shampoos will help remove it all.

A: Splat is a semi-permanent color. Vibrant colors are achieved on pre-lightened hair. All semi-permanent colors "coats" the hair, so the color of the hair determines the outcome. Lighter the hair, the more Vibrant the color outcome. Darker the hair, darker the color outcome and color will not show on dark / black hair unless lightened. On dark brown hair, you might be able to achieve very subtle hues of the color in sunlight only, if the hair is not lightened.

A: Splat Midnight kits do not include bleach. Midnight kits are ideal for medium brown to pale blonde hair and previously bleached hair. Best for brunettes looking for a bold color without the bleach. Since semi-permanents colors don't mix with a developer they are completely safe for the hair and are not damaging at all.

A: Splat color can be used over henna. You will have to use a color that will cover over your recent color. You can try a color like Midnight Amber. If your hair is darker than that color it may not show.

Encourage , rename the name though. Because it is intensely epic BLUE , splat . Intense BLUE ! over black color. Nicely covered and colored my old hair extensions . This product really works . Effectively and effortlessly revealed the beautiful BLUE color and I love it❣️ Sincerely, the gloves to apply product need some help . But overall , it’s splat , and has a strong lead. This should not be marketed as a semi permanent dye. It has been months and I have tried everything to strip the color out.

Our dyes are Semi-permanent, which is identified on the box, with that said the fade out time period /process varies from person to person based on hair texture, density and porosity. Industry standard wise Semi-permanents last 4-6 weeks and also varies depending on how often the hair is washed. The more the hair is washed the faster/more will fade, using a clarifying shampoo can also help. You can still have color left in the hair after the 30 washes or 4-6 weeks due to the high pigment load, depending on how long the color was processed and integrity / porosity of the hair. I mixed this with one of the midnight colors not realizing they are two different formulas. It got super watery with clumps of dye that didn't sit right in my hair. Was a pain to wash out. Will definitely get two midnight colors next time

Dyed on two heads of natural blonde hair. One is a white-blonde, the other is a med blonde. Let product sit for a hour. The purple turned blue and barely stuck after a single rinse. Complete waste of time and money

Happily surprised by this! It smells so good. My hair was highlighted and grown out by about 7 weeks. I put it on for about 40 min and washed w cold water like the directions said. It was really easy to use. Definitely wear gloves and cover your sink because it will stain!!!

I really wanted to like this dye because the color is beautiful on my hair but it stains everything, even running my fingers through my hair dry. And my hair feels very damaged after this. I won't be using it again.

In order to stop all the bleeding and staining we recommend that you do a really good rinse with cooler water, rinse the hair until the water runs clear, shampoo the hair really good making sure all excess color is being shampooed out, rinse again with cooler water until the water runs clear, apply conditioner allowing it to set for a few minutes then do the last final rinse with cooler water until the water runs clear. Splat is a semi-permanent color / direct dye and these types of dyes just coat the hair meaning they sit on the hair shaft and don't really penetrate unless the hair is very porous.

I used the midnight jade today! Now the tub and my skin came out like an aqua blue color, but my hair came out black!! I didnt have an issue with the tanzanite one but this one just didnt come out like the box said, I went into the sunlight just to make sure but the jade didnt come out!

This red is such a beautiful colour. I always make a mess doing it because I have long hair but it is always worth it. I finally found a brand that has a beautiful long lasting colour that will wash out and not stain my hair (unlike natural instincts 😒). I don't use shampoo much and wash in the sink with cold water so it lasts a good amount of time. I've tried a few colours but this is my favorite.

I love this color and I got it all with out having to bleach my hair. Midnight Indigo is everything I want in a deep dark blue hair color. The consistency of the product was very nice, however I did make sure to shake the bottle prior to application. The color can be a bit messy, but in my opinion, all at home hair coloring is messy. The conditioner! Omg the conditioner that comes with the kit is amazing. Only wish it had a tad bit more product, but phenomenal nonetheless.

First of all, it smells great. I enjoyed the process. I didn't bleach my hair before using it, I was aiming for a very subtle dark purple that was only really noticeable in the sunlight. This product achieved that for me. It did stain my skin and scalp pretty bad, but I was able to get rid of that fairly easily. I dyed it about a year ago and its faded, but my hair is still purple in the sunlight, which I like even though it was meant to be semi-temporary. I wouldn't recommend using this though if you dye and bleach your hair often. I bleached a strip of my hair and the dye lingered. Overall, I'll be using this again.

My daughter wanted green highlights in her hair so I bought the hair dye thinking it would work. When it dried there was no color and she took a white shirt, rubbed it on her hair, and the dye came out, and it came out as blue not green. It also made her hair feel like chalk. DONT BUY THIS!

Easy to use and will last a while based on past experience yet the blue looks teal and a the teal green. Might be an issue with my hair as it's not the first time I experience a similar issue however. The bleach was also a bit weird, very strong smell and weirdly thick, but that might have been partially user error.

I love Splat Midnight edition colors especially not having to bleach your hair. The only issue I had with the indigo blue was that it was so watery that without properly mixing it with another color, it would have made a disaster mess for a first time user. I have a license from Paul Mitchell and I'm excellent at coloring and creating beautiful ombré styles with Splat.

My husband wanted for me to look modern and confident. But really all I see Clairol, L'Oreal even Garnier for Old People I don't blame them nobody wants to express their self they want to look like a photocopy of YouTube. It amazed me easy to use, great ingredients and true to color.
