Q: When I looked at the FDA database I could not find this product. SpringBud.us shows the product as FDA cleared yet on Target.com it's showing as FDA approved. Is this product FDA approved or cleared?

I purchased this product looking for some peace of mind around tracking my daughter's fetal heartbeat at 16+ weeks and I would not recommend. This doppler could never give me consistent results – every heartbeat tracked ranged from 52 to 230+ bpm – and the user guide did not provide any simple solutions. I did purchase a lubricating jelly separately, since this isn't included, and the results varied just as much.

AMAZING. Having experienced recurrent pregnant loss, I have crippling anxiety every day during my current pregnancy and this doppler has saved my sanity. I will say, it took me a couple of days to figure it out, but I finally got it right at 12 weeks. You have to go LOW (way lower than you think, literally below your underwear line) to find it when you’re early in pregnancy, but you’ll know it’s the heartbeat when you hear it. If you give yourself a little grace when figuring it out, it is so rewarding and comforting.

Be patient
I am excited to have received this. I got it for peace of mind since I am considered at high risk and to allow my husband to hear the baby's heatbeat since he is unable to attend the appointmets. I was 20 weeks preganant upon receiving this and did take my husband a little while to find, but we finally did, be patient with it and with your husband :) .
