Cheap silicone falls off
The silicone parts at the end do not stay in the tong and constantly fall out as you are trying to pick up hot food which is not very safe. We had to throw these away very cheap. I am sticking with full metal from now on

Not great.
The Room Essentials brand often has super affordable stuff that’s decent quality, but these tongs are awful. The hard plastic got all chipped and scratched after a couple of uses, and now it’s impossible to clean. We used turmeric in a recipe recently and the tongs are permanently stained, even after running them through the dishwasher and also hand washing them. I hate that food gets into the scratches and scrapes on the hard plastic and won’t come out. I’ll be buying all metal or silicone tongs to replace these.

Ok tongs, beware of nylon
These tongs are decent, they’re just absolutely NOT safe for high heat. I made the mistake of not looking closely at the materials. Go for silicone tipped tongs instead, nylon is not worth is if you’re using these for anything hot!
