Staub's latest innovation, the Chistera drop-structure lid, has solved the challenge of curved lids - they limit moisture to sides - by ensuring continuous condensation throughout. A Perfect Little Pot

I didn't buy a defective damaged product, but a normal discount product, but a defective pot came and I got an exchange, but a pot with a more severe defect came. I'm really disappointed. I'm using it because I'm lazy to get an exchange, but I'm really upset It would be better to just buy defective products from the beginning. Whatever you order, defective products come. I want to show you the picture of its defection.

My Rice Pot

The BEST rice!! Great pot
Once you get timing down & figure out nothing needs to cook above med heat, it’s all good! Makes great rice & so happy I bought it. I’m gifting one to my niece… but I might need a second one myself dedicated to other grains or beans. Don’t hesitate on this Staub pot. Love all my Staub pots. I did “season” it like you would raw cast iron & now it’s super non stick too!

The Staub 1.5 quart petite oven is a wonderful addition to my kitchen, Did not realize all the ways I would be using this pan when I purchased it. My neighbor suggested I pick this up, instead of an electric rice cooker. Glad I took her advice! This pan achieves excellent results, and also can be used to make oatmeal, reheat foods, make couscous, risotto, and a multitude of other foods. This pan is not only so useful, but looks great on the table and cooktop.

Love My New Cocotte!

Perfect rice every time! The cast iron really holds on to the moisture and heat and the results are perfect. Looks much nicer than my electric rice cooker, and I love using it as a serving piece that really holds on to the heat. Grains also benefit from the cast iron. Easy to use, just bring the liquid to a boil, add the grains, stir, cover cook on lowest of heat setting and wait a short time, fast and easy. Induction compatible and oven safe to 500 degrees, allows for flexibility as well as multiple uses. Great kitchen helper.

Perfect!
First time Staub purchase, and so happy with this Petite French oven. Great rice cooker, because of the absorption properties of cast iron. Wonderful for grains, oatmeal soups and sauces. Love using to make puddings, never any scorching or burnt bottoms. This pan also looks great on the table as a warmer and server, which saves some clean up time. The enamel finish is gorgeous and sits on my stove top. Much to pretty to throw in a cabinet.
