Q: I don't see common house fly listed, yet a common house fly image is on the packaging. Does this work for a regular fly as well?

A: I got it for a common house fly problem and went to take it out of the plug disappointed it didn't work and to my surprise there were two flies on it so I left it and ended up catching five!

Garbage! I can’t believe this thing has good reviews. Maybe I’ve got the world’s smartest fruit flies because after 3 days of having this blue light going I’ve caught a grand total of 0 fruit flies and it’s not for lack of them around the light. I’m flabbergasted and annoyed and still hosting a fruit fly slumber party in the kitchen.

Doesn't work as well as the other brand. I think because the light is covered by a clear plastic, so they can fly in front of the plastic without getting caught. in the week I have owned both this and the other brand, this one of my caught 6 flies, and the other brand caught at least 30.

Gnats or Fruit Flies? Don't Bother!
Summer + Kids means the doors are going to get left ajar and bugs are going to get in. I bought this a couple of weeks ago to deal with flies and fruit flies. It does NOT work for fruit flies, which are the biggest nuisance! It caught flies just fine, which accounts for the second star, but the fruit flies are not attracted to it. I’m going to have to buy something else to get rid of them.
