This mattress topper added the right amount of softness to our firm mattress. My husband loves it because the bamboo keeps it from getting to warm throughout the night.

Very comfortable and will be buying more. I highly recommend buying it.

While at a premium hotel an unfortunate case of food poisoning kept me in bed one day. Halfway through the day I realized that I was in the most comfortable bed ever and being sick was actually not that bad in such luxurious comfort. I pulled all the info I could from the tags, contacted Downlite, and they kindly responded with the product info. We have a great new mattress but this mattress pad takes it to the next level. It's thick, fits perfectly, and the pockets are deep enough to fit our pillow top mattress. I never realized a mattress pad was more than just pretention for your mattress. Between the new pad and new pillows I'm sleeping better and I already sleep well.

The pad does not provide a cooling effect. I was hoping after reading the other reviews there would be a noticeable difference in temperature being cooler, but I did not find that to be the case. The backing crunches when putting on the bed, but you do not hear it when laying on it. The padding was more comfortable than not having anything, but for the price I expected more. I would not recommend if your looking for a cooling effect, but would recommend if your wanting more comfort as far as softness.

we already washed it and have no issues. went on great. do feel cooler with this pad. i would recommend this in a heart beat!

Extremely frustrated with Target and their third party products. It took 2 weeks for this to arrive even though they promise standard 2 day shipping if you have the red card. Finally after waiting an absurd amount of time (I assume this arrived from overseas), the item is irregular as was mentioned in another review. The sides extend down about 12 inches but there is no elastic to wrap around the bed. It’s literally a bed skirt. The topper won’t stay on the bed and the whole thing is just useless. The topper itself has a warm feel to it so I don’t know how cooling it would have been since I didn’t use it. But to the touch it felt warm. There seems to be a decent amount of fill so it’s definitely not flat.

I bought this bamboo mattress pad about a month and a half ago and it has helped my hips stop aching. I like it a lot and am glad we got it.

Can’t wait to get into bed every night! It has definitely added to the comfort of our mattress. So happy with this purchase and very pleased with the price

This is not as thick as I was hoping, but my husband and I still noticed an improvement in comfort and, even better, I am not waking up sweating every night! We have had a memory foam mattress for a year and a half, and I gradually noticed a pattern of waking in the middle of the night sweaty. No longer! I also was having trouble with my arms going to sleep (I'm a side sleeper), and know it was from shoulder pressure. While this still happens some, even the small padding has reduced the occurrence. So glad we purchased this!

i would wake up BURNING because my mattress literally made me feel like i was sleeping on a heating pad. this mattress pad surprised me, it is very plush (but i honestly didn't notice a huge difference comfort-wise) and fit my king size bed to perfection. it is NOT a cooling pad in the sense of giving you that chilling tingly sensation when you lie down BUT i did NOT wake up once feeling heated or warm at all. i had a nice night's sleep for once in a long long time so it did serve it's purpose for me personally and i am very satisfied. i just hope it doesn't lose its shape when i wash it per other reviews !

Now I see why other reviews stated noise and falling apart after wash. The pad itself is great. What they did wrong is the backing of the pad is a strong paper. So of course it will break aprart eventually or when washed. ...the stiff paper is what makes the noise and paper does tear easily with time and water.

This mattress is soft and plushy but the bed still got very hot in the middle of the night. It’s going back. Target said they will send another one - maybe the one I had was defective. Worth another try, I figured.

It is a nice matress pad, soft and comfy. But I didn't feel a bit difference on the cooling side.

Was exactly what we were looking for. I felt that the mattress pad was not too hot for sleeping at all. Very comfortable. Was a very good value for the sale price.

I purchased this based on many reviews because of the cool effect - not that I expect an air conditioner in it but just enough not to make me wake up in sweat. It seems ok. It's cushy so if you need some added softness - it's plush enough for a slight cushiness. My concern was whether or not it was water proof as it does not mention that anyway where. But once I opened it I could hear the plastic sound it makes so I was hesitant to even use it. I even ordered others to compare - but I figured let me at least place it on the bed and see how bad it is. I figured it would be limited in my case as I also have a cooling topper which I plan to use on top of this to make it extra cushy. We recently bought new split king sleep number bed/mattresses and I like firm and my hubby likes cushiness. After the delivery and set up... it was like sleeping on a rock at the lowest number it would go to (and I like FIRM- but not a rock). So chose to improve it by finding a cooling topper and as cooling and cushy pad as possible. After the pad was placed - it did NOT make that squishy plastic sound and seemed to be just enough to block the heat from the materials from the mattress. The pad has deep pockets so it will cover as deep as mattresses can be with added toppers and all. Also, the padding did not move or leave an impression after sleeping on it. Only used it a few days so far but cheaper material would be somewhat separated quickly. So I'd recommend it but be a realist! It's not a fan to actually cool you :-)

Super soft, and keeps the bed a bit cooler.

Since they had no temperature control mattress pads at the store, I thought I’d order one on the site. Disappointed with the mattress pad. It is no cooler, but actually warmer than the inexpensive $20 mattress pad we had on the bed. Not only that, but it slides around on the mattress. Neither my husband nor I like it. I may go and look for a cooling gel pad to put under my sheets. I’d return it, but I threw away the packaging and had washed it before I put it on the bed.
